Actually, it's my girlfriend's car- it's a 1995 Eclipse. Does this engine have a distributor? If so, won't I need to cover up the distributor with, say, a plastic bag or something before I pressure wash the engine and the engine bay?

Hi,

I have a cassette player in my car & now I am planning to buy an Mp3 CD player. I want to keep both in my car. Could you please explain how to connect their audio out to the respective speakers ?
Is one player's audio causes back effect on another one? if yes, what to use to isolate the effect.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi all, I have a 95 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.1 V6. In the morning, when I start it it will die right away, and then when I restart it it will run as long as I give it gas until it gets warm. The idle is also bouncy. I replaced the IAC and it didn't fix it. That's what the boneheads at Firestone said it was. What is left? The MAP sesnsor? Or could it be something else. Thank you.

I read this story about this guy from "www.carsurvey.org". It was under "Chevrolet", and then "Corvette, and then "2005", and then under the review "Good".

This guy bought a brand new show room Corvette with as the dealers told him "Scratches only in the clearcoat." He belived and bought the car and the car's scratches never went away and were later more noticeable than ever.

Whether the body's fiberglass or metal, if there are ANY kind of scratches in it, never in just the the clearcoat and will indeed to be repaired, right?

Is there and specifications that cause an airbag to deploy? I was recently in an accident and neither of our airbags deployed and i do not understand why. I know that because i was hit on the side it should not have deployed, but the car that hit me was hit in the front, why didnt their air bag deploy?

As specifications i mean do you have to be going a certain speed, have your seat belt on, etc.

I have 1974 Cb550 honda. The Oil filter bolt is stripped very badly
and won't come off! Do you know any techniques that will get it off? I can't afford really expensive tools but I do have a craftsman mechanics wrench set. The bolt is too big for 10mm (which is what I think it once was) and too small for 11mm.

When I want to turn right on my cycle, I give a clear arm and hand signal that I want to turn right, yet 5 out of 6 cars on average speed up rather than slow down.
Why?

I have a 1974 Honda CB 550. I start the bike giving it a little steady gas. As soon as ease up off the gas the bike stops.

This also happens when I pull in the clutch say to go from 1st to 2nd. (If I don't give it a good amount of gas in between)

What's wrong? I really want to fix it myself and I'm not shure what to do.

Thanks.

Ed

First I am a trucker, we can not go faster than 56 mph....Cars are a lot quicker than they use to be, the problem is that most people are incompetent when it comes to driving fast, after all the average person is not built to think as fast as a car can go...

So I say limit the car to 90mph max

My argument for it is, it is safer , better for the enviroment, you will not lose your licence for hitting 100 mph...after all, why should cars be made to drive at speeds of 150 mph?, there is no point,,truckengines ar bigger, and without a limiter are capable of 90 mph, but nobody would want to see 38 tons travelling at this speed...

I am interested at what other people think

Speed is pointless, causes stress, and kills, in the wrong hands, and personally I think the majority fall into this category

I am getting a scratch on my car repaired. They had to sand down the area and repaint it. How will I know if the repair or the paint job that has been done is inferior? I want to be able to know enough to refuse the work and/or request that it be redone properly. Please help!!

I have a 95 2.5 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual transmission Dakota truck. The truck runs if you push start it but the starter, AC clutch and radiator fan do not work. The starter and selenoid and good and I went through all the fuses under the dash and in the box under the hood.

Do you have any thoughts on the problem?

I have 235/15 on the ranger, while the manufacturer calls for 225/15. So in order to know how fast I am actually going, does this mean I divide 235/225=1.044444, and then multiply 1.04444 by the speedometer to get the actual speed?

I see a lot of posts on here suggesting that sport bike riders are all young punks.... that they probably have little experience...... and that older more mature riders have "graduated" to a Harley-Davidson.... because they have so much more experience. I see more punks wearin' WCC & OCC T's than I do sport bike T's. So my question is.... what do you ride personally and how old are you? Let's find out! Crotch rocket rider here for over 30 years....... 51 years old this month.

My car will read an average temp if I am driving in the city or traffic (stop and go) and the temp will read normally if I allow the car to idle for a period of time. Is my thermostat stuck open? If the temp is reading normally and I turn the heat on the temp will quickly drop all the way down.
