It might cause the engine to misfire. The longer the plug wires are the more resistence it will have.

Size as in thickness or in length? Either way the above is correct. Nothing. If you put longer wires on though, make sure they are not laying on anything hot or that could rub through. You may need to get some tie wraps to make them neat and keep them clear of such things.

I not think it make much difference for regular driving. The main thing is they are long enough to reach without being in a bind or stretched, the other is if they very long to route them or tie them so they not drop down on the exhaust manifold or get into moving parts by accident.

If they were the right part number for your car the lengths should be similar. If you double the length of a wire, you double its resistance in ohms (resistance type wires). So keep the lengths about the same and route them as they were originally routed on the engine.

Nothing. If they are longer jst make sure they arent laying on something hot or where they can rub through. Get some zip ties to make it nice and neat and clear of any of the above.
