Dodge Dakota 2001. Rear brakes only work when in Neutral. Had front and rear brakes replaced, new master cylendar and valve installed. (everything was well bled and pouring out of the the back) Still no brakes. Next step they tell me is a torque converter. Does this have anything to do with the rear brakes or just another waste of time and money?

So far where I am at we haven't gotten any snow yet. Of course no one knows what is to come for the rest of the season. I need new tires and I am thinking about going with All Season tires. One negative thing I have read about winter tires is that they supposedly don't do too well in dry conditions. I never really HAVE to be in the snow if I don't want to, so I have to ask myself how much benefit will I really see and is it worth having degraded safety in dry conditions. The one benefit I see about snow tires is that (amongst other characteristics) the rubber compound is specifically designed to work well in very cold temperatures. Anyway, I wanted to get an idea of how many other people out there in a similar climate use snow tires. By the way, if I lived in Buffalo, NY or Canada (except for the west coast) I would definately get them without a doubt.

I recently traded in a 2004 GMC pickup. I miss having it. I would like to find out who bought it, and then see if they are willing to sell it back to me. I have not asked the dealer yet. I don't think they would tell me due to privacy restrictions. I know this sounds crazy...just work with me.

I have a 1993 ford taurus with a 3.8L v6 engine. And the problem im having is that when you start the car sometimes it takes the start 3 to 5 seconds for starter to start cranking when holding the key in the start position. I have had the battery replaced since the old one was bad. But its not doing it as much. it has a used starter on it since the orignal one went out 9 months ago.

Then about a week later when i went to test drive it, the light was on. Truck has 103,xxx miles and just had 100k service done by a local dealer. Only aftermarket is a Flowmaster exhaust.

I went to go get a new drivers liscense and they didnt take a new picture. I asked them to since i look NOTHING like my picture. I have short black hair and my liscense has long blonde hair and i am like 5 years younger. They wouldnt budge. I look young for my age and no one believes that it is me on my liscense so i cant buy ciggs sometimes or go into bars.

I dont know what to do...they are so mean at the DMV and i am not a pushover, but they dont budge at all!!!

What can i do...this is another 5 years with this picture becasue they wont let me take a new one!!

1992 300TE has a rough idle when warm and would re-start once it dies at an intersection. If I want it to start the engine I must depress the pedal to the firewall and then continue reving the accelorator or it will die. When its cold it is fine again. Any Ideas?

The book says a design speed of Mach 3.2 and a max useable speed of Mach 3.3. (1925 KTAS)

In order to maintain combustion, the airflow has to be slowed down to subsonic (actually, about 800 feet per second). This causes high inlet temperatures which are limited to 427C.

Given that the energy in the airflow is equal to 1/2 density times velocity squared, any increase in the speed of the SR-71 would cause the temperature to rise exponentially. (At least that's the way I understand it)

So how much faster could it really go since it was at the limits of technology in the 1960s?

Stick shifts can stall--particularly when you're stopped at the top of a steep hill. Then you have "heel" the brake, while your toe regulates the gas peddle! I used to drive an MGTF around San Francisco and Berkeley in '55 & '56. I got pretty good at it--but it always scared me! I entered "The Ladies' Race" at Laguna Seca one yr--scared myself silly at the top of a steep winding climb with a sheer drop on the outside of the sharp turn down. But it was all GREAT FUN!!
(Disregard, if this isn't what you meant. I have no idea WHAT "hill & toe" is.
