Which is better? Do I need to use a fuel treatment and let it flow into my carb or is it better to just turn off the fuel to the carb and run it out of fuel?

Thanks.

I love the looks and I test drove it a couple times but I keep thinking that a car made by Ford can't be that reliable.

Most everything I read says that they are bad if they pop when you turn. Mine don't. for about 4 months mine just whines like either I've got a flat or you could describe it as you can hear the tires turning. Is it safe to drive like this or is my car gonna fall apart? I'm a girl so I need REAL advice please.

I'd really appreciate it if someone who knows these engines well could explain step by step how to change the timing belt and tensioner on this engine.
Is there anything that can be done wrong that would cause the tensioner bolt to break?
This is so I can know if the job was done correctly in my car where the tensioner bolt broke 2 1/2 months after a new timing belt and tensioner was installed.
Thanks so much.

My fantastic 97 outback legacy wagon started whirring one day 200 miles from home. The sound got louder on acceleration. There was rubber and metal dust around the timing belt.
I had the car towed to a mechanic who found that the tensioner bolt had broken clean off, ripping a path in the timing cover, and tensioner was floating but engine had not seized up yet.
What could be the internal engine damage and how much to repair? I think it is an interference engine but not sure. Mechanic who looked at it only inspected timing belt assembly and did not open engine but thinks there is probably internal damage.
I had the timing belt and tensioner changed only 2 1/2 months ago. Is this the mechanic's fault who did the job? If so how? What else could have caused the bolt to break?
Should I have a subaru dealership evaluate it before I have the car towed back at my expense to the timing belt mechanic so he can look and maybe assume responsibility?
If not do I have a small claims case? thanks.

We have a Saab 900 XS and last night the doors decided not to open, all except the driver door. The boot (trunk) opens fine.

We don't have the beeper on the keyring, but the central locking/alarm was disabled at the engine because of that so I doubt it's that.

I tried going in and unlocking it at the bit you pull up next to the window, but even that won't come up.

Any ideas?

Please help cause throwing my girlfriend through the window is fun but it looks a bit weird to everyone else haha.

Thanks.

We wont have any affordable zero emmision vehicles for years I'm searching for a way to own an affordable electric highway ready car. I need at least a four seater with a good range. They make all the NEV'S with seating for four. But that is not practical for me as are most conversions. Any help would be appreciated. I am not much of a do it your selfer.
