I need to know where the oil sending unit is located on my 2000 ford taurus 3.0 six cylinder.

If your asking about it then its probably the thing with the wires coming out of it that is all covered in oil.

u need anelectrical parts locator guide. autozone ain't the answer. don't even flip em off when u drive by . the sending unit is screwed into the block near the crankshaft, or at the top directly above the front or rear main crank journal. most likely it near the oil filter.

Check out http://www.autozone.com they have several online repair manuals. If this doesn't work then go to local parts store and ask to see repair manual on your specific vehicle. I tried to look it up online for you but had no luck. O'Reilly's, Pep Boys and several others are online as well.

you need to remove your oil pan

it should be right by the oil filter.
