We have a Saab 900 XS and last night the doors decided not to open, all except the driver door. The boot (trunk) opens fine.

We don't have the beeper on the keyring, but the central locking/alarm was disabled at the engine because of that so I doubt it's that.

I tried going in and unlocking it at the bit you pull up next to the window, but even that won't come up.

Any ideas?

Please help cause throwing my girlfriend through the window is fun but it looks a bit weird to everyone else haha.

Thanks.

I've been in the car and I've had the heaters on for about an hour, it didn't affect the locks at all.

Good ideas though, keep em comin :D

on volkswagons the power door locks are powered by compressing air. saabs may work the same way. look in your truck, under the carpet or inside walls of trunk, there should be a vaccum line running from a small air compressor to all the doors n such. hope it helps...

The first thing to cause doors to become jammed is when it rains followed by freezing weather.

So unless you live in a warm area this could well be your be the problem.

It could be ice in the locks (Get some lock deicer) If no deicer I have often just held my bare thumb over the key way for a couple of minutes. If thumb gets cold switch thumbs.

The door can be frozen to the body of the car.
But you said that you can get in the car. Start it & when it heats up the doors will thaw out.

When all the locks are thawed out lubricate them & they will be OK for a while.
