The F-117 entered service in 1983 and was first used operationally in Panama in 1989.

The prototype of the F-117, 'Have Blue', was first flown in the mid 70s.

So yeah, it is old.

Relatively speaking, no. There are several military aircraft that are in use today that were designed and built in the 50s, like the B52, as well as a some helicopters.

In one news article, the USAF is thinking seriously about retiring it, only 10 years after it went into active duty, as the new F-35 can do the same job, and more.

no oneelse has one like it so what do u think? the technology has improved since tis air craft was built but that happens to all of them. if u want to know if it is old see if they are using it or are designing a replacement for its mission. AIR FORCE ALLL THE WAY

Depends how old "old" is. It was made sometime in the 1980's.
B-52 is way older...
