there should be a lever to pull on the steering column, or somewhere in the drivers footwell, which will pop it up a bit, then you have to run your fingers under the bonnet, there's a catch near the middle that will allow you to open it up

There's a lever down at about shin level, usually red or orange. Pull it and you'll hear the "doinggg" as the bonnet catch is released. Then go round the front & reach under the edge of the bonnet to release the safety catch. Some Fords require you to unlock the bonnet by shifting the Ford badge on the front & using the key - not all, though.

Haven't got one but some fords use the key to unlock the bonnet the lock is behind the ford badge on the front grill

It should explain in the manual, though I'd ahve assumed it would be a lever on the right hand side of the driver's footwell.

BECKS: I'm aware of the Focus having that, but not heard of it being used on other motors.

The bonnet release is on the steering column.

ladies and gents Q: on cars....
you can find most all info in the hand book that came with the car if you do not have one then go to the manufacturer (ford, Chevy, BMW, ect...) and ask them for one.....
if this is to hard then get a shout gun and shut the dam thing it will open....

there is a hood release under the steering column, pop that, then feel under the front of the hood for a lever to push or pull up on, that should open it up.
