I have a1994 G.M.C. auto transmission will not shift out of first?

Sounds like to me you have issues.. Now some of thoses have aelectronic shift in them, and sometimes the chip can go out. but I would have it towed to the closest trnasmission shop to have it checked out.

it sounds like its onits way to neutral and a rebuild.. check the fluid and hope it is a little low. better get ready to bite the bullet though.

my 88 camaro did this. at first i would just put more tranny fluid in and it would be fine. but eventuallt i had to take it in for service.
