I love the looks and I test drove it a couple times but I keep thinking that a car made by Ford can't be that reliable.

Any car can be reliable or a lemon...

Most of a cars "dependability" depends on the level of regular maintanence.
If you want something that tells you when to change the oil, when your air in the tires is low, when the glove box is ajar...
get a luxury car... If you want a good looking, fun to drive car, get the Mustang Convertible!

I Love the new Pony, and it would be a consideration if I were shopping for a new car right now.
(For me, I will probably buy a 40 Anniversary when the 50 Anniversary hits store shelves)

BTW, I drive a 1986 F350 Quadcab 6.9L diesel. It runs great!
Not sure of the miles that are on it, as the odometer has most likely been flipped at least once, maybe twice in the twenty years since new. It shows 68K miles on it right now.
I think that speaks for Ford's quality Loud and Clear!

First of all, when making a $20,000+ buying decision, You should look at facts rather than opinions.
Secondly, what makes you think that "Ford can't be that reliable"?
Is it because you've been listening to the opinions of "Ford Bashers" ?

THEY" can "say" whatever they want to.

I prefer to base my statements on FACTS.
As for dependability & reliability: J.D. Powers & Assoc. studies millions of vehicles. Their study (which they conduct every year) involves vehicles that have been on the road for 3 years and calculates how many service visits or problems each manufacturer has. Their most recent study (of model year 2003 vehicles) just released in August 2006, proves that Ford, Lincoln & Mercury ALL are ABOVE the industry average.

I will list all 37 manufacturers (in order of their dependability, best being #1 , worst being #37) according to FACTS rather than biased OPINIONS .

1 Lexus
2 MERCURY
3 Buick
4 Cadillac
5 Toyota
6 Acura
7 Honda
8 Jaguar
9 BMW
10 Infinity
11 LINCOLN
12 FORD
13 Oldsmobile
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<(industry average)
14 Chrysler
15 Pontiac
16 Subaru
17 GMC
18 Mercedes-Benz
19 Chevrolet
20 Nissan
21 Mazda
22 Porsche
23 Hyundai
24 Dodge
25 Mitsubishi
26 Jeep
27 Volvo
28 Audi
29 Mini
30 Isuzu
31 Saturn
32 Volkswagon
33 Hummer
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(not reliable)
34 Kia
35 Suzuki
36 Saab
37 Land Rover

Also some FACTS you might take into consideration:

* Henry Ford revolutionalized the entire automobile manufacturing process & if it weren't for this there probably wouldn't be all these other manufacturers.

* Ford F-Series Trucks have been the best selling trucks in America for 29 consecutive years.

* Ford was the 1st manufacturer to produce Flex-Fuel vehicles (1995) and has more alternative fuel vehicles on the road than any other manufacturer.

* Ford still has electric vehicles on the road (GM destroyed theirs) (again FACT--see the documentary movie, "Who Killed The Electric Car ?)

* Ford has electric mail carrier trucks in use in California.

* Ford-1st manufacturer to produce hydrogen fueled vehicles in the U.S. (in use in Florida)

* Ford- 1st full hybrid SUV (also the most fuel efficient suv on the road) Hybrid Escape.

I could go on ........or you could continue to listen to what "they" say..................
I prefer to trust FACTS

My "opinion" of the new Ford Mustang.....AWESOME!

It is a very nice, there are two models of it one v6 and v8 i prefer the v8 because it has a lot of HP. The car is very reliable and it has a good price for what kind of car that you are getting. If you are going to buy the mustang in manual (stick) you just need to know that you need to have some experience driving stick b/c the mustangs clutch is challeging. Overall, the looks, interior, and the engine are awsome. I believe 100% that this car is reliable. I have a Ford that is 10 years old with 160,000 miles and it still runs. Good luck!

Ford Mustang? choose for it ! The ford mustang replaced into the ideal element that lee Iaccoca did for ford while he replaced into there interior the early 60s in case you get a stang don't get a mustang ll they the place terrible. choose for a ninety -ninety seven with a small block below the hood. For a common vehicle stay way some distance way from the 5.0 or extra beneficial vehicles you could land up in hardship real quickly with one in each and every of them. My nephew has a 88 hatch lower back that's asuper charged 5.0 & runs merely on the drag strip..

I like the looks of the new Ford Mustang.

It can range from $19,995 to $46,000. It comes in a coupe or convertible. It can do
0-60 mph in 4.5-7.6 seconds. It all depends on the model you buy.

The base engine is a 4.0L/ 210-hp SOHC V-6.

15-21 mpg EPA rating.

There are 2 airbags.
