We already have age discrimination with drinking, voting etc. We should have to periodically take tests to see if we are a threat on the road. Many drivers are and they may hurt or kill someone. People will not usually stop on their own because they are losing a freedom, but it is for the common good.

The answer is never. We live in the US. As long as you can follow the laws and are not told by the court that you're an unsafe driver, then an occasional check for everyone is warranted. Age discrimination is prevented by Federal law, and that includes driving privileges.

Start at 16 and go to 100. When you screw up your privieges get revoked. However I believe as a person gets older 65 to 70 the vision and driving tests should be manatory every few years as our reflexes and eyesight go dowwnhill.

i think states should have mandatory drivers tests every 5 years.....if people pass them they can keep their licenses...if not...they get them revoked. It would help improve our country to start putting a stronger emphases on public transportation and keeping the road safe!
good question!

I think that everyone should have to retake the driving test each time they renew their license. That way the state can see who is still apt enough to be driving.

It really depends on where you live. As long as you can prove you are a safe driver you get to keep your license.
