i'm a young female wanting to know more about used car buying before i begin to go out to the places to look for a used car to buy. i was hoping to find some site that would explain to me in "simple" terms so i won't look like an idiot. just a site that will tell me what to look out, you know i what mean, carbuyingfordummies, simplecarbuying,something like that

I have recently quit smoking and my car still retains the abominable smell of stale smoke mixed with humidity... Air fresheners help but when I turn the air on it's a blast of cool stale smoke filled horrible blowing all over me...

When I go to work on a Friday of a long weekend, the traffic is very light, but going home it is even heavier than a normal weekday. If less people are going to work in the morning, why is the traffic so heavy on the way home?

As nowadays the advanced integrated electronic systems theoretically allow passenger planes to fly without human interactions (only ATC is not automated, when that will happen anyway?), it is a question to me, how much fun remains for pilots?
Obviously there are situations when the decision on usage of autopilot is simple: FMS failure or very low visibility with heavy turbulences etc.
But what about the rest? Is it the captain's decision to manually fly the plane when landing on a shiny day?
Is it differently regulated by airlines?Or FAA? Or only advised not regulated?
I expect the autoland to be more safe than manual. But if we don't let the pilots fly manually, they might go out of practice for cases when it is really them who has to drive, due to an emergency (did such situation ever happened at all...!?).
Or look at the sad situation of the greek plane last year, every flight system was operational,but AP was programmed to circle, not to land, before pilots went unconscious.

I don't have a hitch on my mini van. I don't even know if I can get one. I need to get my little trailer from Mono Lake to Santa Cruz. Any ideas on how to do this, other than tow it with my van?

When I use the left turn signal, I get a rapid flash. The front signal works, but tha rear and left rear brake light does not. I went to Pep Boys and bought replacement bulbs, but the heck if I can figure out how to get the lense cover off so I can replace the blown bulb.
Anybody have any experience? There does not seem to be any screw holes on the outside -- Is this a dealer or repair shop job? I need some help, any comments are appreciated and I feel like a goof for asking such a simple question.

Need to replace the window glass. Also, need a source for the plastic discs on the ends of shift cables for a 5-speed. Old ones wore out and Dodge wants to sell the entire cable assembly.

I have a 1989 Honda Accord and I want to place a large magnet on the tranny pan to collect any metal shavings floating in the transmission oil. Maybe there is another place to put a magnet that would work as well.
