there is no safety involved here,,if you drive it your going to mess it up,,it may also catch on fire if it gets hot enough,,i have seen a few cars burn up,,because of this,,i own a repair shop,,so i see this kind of thing a lot,,you need to get it repaired,,Hope this help,s.

dont do it it could fill the car up with exhaust and cause internal engine damage, not to mention the performance loss

surely it wouldn't cause you to careen from the road in a dangerous manner, however the wear and tear on your beloved swede-mobile---e gads!! get it fixed right or gut that sucker and put it back on! if your not in cali no one will know...
