Currently, I'm trying to finish up converting the slant six in my '66 Dodge Dart to EFI. It already has a turbo. After that's done, I plan to make a few minor tweaks to the suspension and put some autocross tires on it. And I'll go through the interior, put in a CD player and some better speakers, and replace the front bench seat with bucket sport seats. I'll have them reupholstered in a '60s looking style and have the rear seat redone to match.

Next project? Well, there's an early Toyota MR2 sitting forlornly on a used car lot. I've thought about prepping it for the Grassroots Motorsports $2007 Challenge by swapping in a 20 valve 4AGE engine and throwing some minor suspension mods at it. Those things can really handle, and the engine swap should give it some power.

a mid 70's A.M.C. gremlin. lowered but not slammed , tubbed with narrowed rear end, street slicks original styled hubcaps, under the hood a 1983 datsun[pre nissan] 280 turbo engine bored and stroked to 3 liter balanced with a duel turbo setup [a small one to get things started]and a huge one once things start happening and a nitrous system of course this would have to be backed up by a turbo 400 automatic trans [no human errors and no breakage] for exhaust 3" to exit at factory location but it must have a blanked off balance tube and no muffler[the turbo will quiet things enough without masking the "famous 6cyl sound"front disc brakes from a v-8 gremlin and aftermarket rear disc setup and a full cage with seat mounted to cage and a five point seat belt system a aluminum dash with only the essentials and a halon fire system and last but most important a fuel cell with a dry brake filler outside the body paint must be a stock color

I'll never forget when my brother took out the 8-track system from my little red Chevette (not to be confused with the little red corvette!) and replaced it with a cassette tape deck back in 1986...to me that was my "hook up". We would be jammin' on some Mr. Mister and The Police!! Then me and my friends could cruise on down to the Atlantic Stand and then head on over to Ripley's believe It Or Not...then cruise Coastal Highway up to the putt-putt on 28th street and then cruise back down to the boardwalk to Marty's Playland to play some Frogger, Rally X, Crazy Climber, Galaga, Food Fight, Moon Patrol, the Journey game , Galaxian (pshew-pshew!) love that sound!, Defender, Q*Bert, Centipede, Tron, Tempest, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Battlezone, Burgertime, and Ms. Pac Man...then we would head on over to Morbid Manor and wait for the dude with the chainsaw to come out and scare us half to death because he would chase us down the pier...then we would watch all them tourist try to knock Bozo into the water(high&dry!!)...then we would cruise on over to Shanty Town for an afternoon of shopping and fishing off of their pier ,I can still smell the"Shanty-Town smell" it consists of salt water, stinky bait, with a little mix of the "boardwalk" smell all blended together to make up that good ol' Shanty Town smell! soooooooo nostalgic!! Dem were the good ol' days! Anyway, that was a day in the life of an OC local in the mid to late 80's-Back to the question of my ideal ride...it was my lil' putt putt with 18'' rims with the goodyear radials and quicksilver stickers all over the bumper, o yeah! I was cool!
