Try looking through the yellow pages at carpet cleaning services, and automobile detailing services and see which ones offer ozone treatments for the interior.

A few years back I purchased a used vehicle which was afoul with the odor of cigarette smoke. I took it in for an ozone treatment and it was as if no one had ever even lit a match in the car. It's expensive but well worth it.

Congratulations on quitting smoking!!!

Here are a few things to try:

~Shampoo/steam clean the carpets and seats

~Change the air filter in your car. That might help with the smell coming from your vents

~Use Febreze spray for your upholstry, and Febreze Air Effects air freshener for the inside of the car (spray that into the vents too). It will eliminate any residual odor that the shampooing/steam cleaning didn't get up.

Hope these tips help!! :)

Baking soda is really good for absorbing odors; you might try liberally sprinkling the seats and carpet with it and letting it sit over night, then vacuum it out. Also Febreze really does work well for odors-I am not sure it if eliminates the odors or just covers them, but it does help. Also, when I was in college we would put fabric softner sheets in the air vents to help with the funky dorm smells. You might try a Bounce w/Febreze (they really make them and they smell pretty good) sheet in your air conditioning vents. Good luck with this!

There are quite a few steps to take...i will record them. a million. bodily sparkling each floor you are able to contained in the vehicle. This incorporates domicile windows, sprint...each sq. inch. Use a answer of white vinegar blended with water. about 2 aspects water to at least a million area vinegar. even as it contains the domicile windows, nicotine construct-up on glass is often troublesome to diminish by ability of with only Windex. So use the vinegar answer first, then keep on with up with Windex to get the streaks. yet wipe each thing down. for cloth seats, you want to employ/purchase/borrow a steam purifier that has an upholstery attachment and use that. in case you are able to't get get entry to to one of those (they actually have some shampooers and some vehicle washes) then on the least, purchase a foam carpet purifier and use that. remember the carpet/mats contained in the vehicle. on the very very least, spray a heavy quantity of Febreze on each sq. inch of fabric and enable dry. this gained't sparkling down as deeply as a shampooer despite the indisputable fact that. despite the indisputable fact that it will help. 2. Air it out! power with the domicile windows down. this can take a lengthy time period. Run the ac/heater/or vent so as that air is flowing by ability of the vents too. 3. Get a vehicle air freshener. the kind that clips into the vents do properly. this can guard the scent that still lingers because of aspects you may no longer sparkling, like contained in the sprint or contained in the froth of the seats. previous different halves tale: My husband says that they say you are able to take an apple, slice it, and placed it contained in the console over nighttime and it really is meant to absorb the smoke scent. I surely have little faith in that, yet i wager it really is worth a shot. you'll in easy words lose an apple. despite the indisputable fact that, I could aspect out that residual smoke scent is not only an scent. it really is were given pollution that surely leach into the air and also you breathe them in. it really is talked about as third hand smoke. So cleansing what you are able to, fairly than only attempting to deodorize, will decrease the quantity of that by ability of lots. I comprehend it really is an outstanding style of labor, despite the indisputable fact that it really is worth it i imagine.

Try sprinkling baking soda (an ample amount) on the carpets and upholstery. Let it sit (windows up)for at least a few hours, or even overnight. Then vacuum it out, the baking soda should absorb most of the smell.
