If I sell a trailer in Louisiana for $200, do I have to get the title notarized? I know you do for a car, but for a $200 trailer???? Any help is much appreciated.

I don't live there ...but in general if it has a vehicle title... meaning the same kind as your car and from the motor vehicle administration they are all treated the same when selling.

You need to assign the title to the buyer, and provide a notarized bill of sale. You usually assign the title by filling in the area on the title that deals with that. If you don't do this, the buyer can't get it titled.
