I always drive barefoot. Usually I don't even have any shoes with me in the car as I leave them home. That means I have to be barefoot where ever else I go, too. :)

I don't drive, but I don't think I'd like to drive barefoot. It's more dangerous. What if your toes get caught on some wires? Or under the pedal? Or if there's something on the bottom of you're car floor? Too dangerous! and if there was an accident... ouch.

but barefoot IS better than heels. never ever drive with heels.

or pumps.

prob stick with sandals or tennis shoes.

Not really but on really hot days I like to wear flip flops and I will not drive in them. So... I end up driving barefoot cause I drive a stick and every time I go to shift the stupid flip flop starts sliding off. Guess if I really thought about it before I left home I'd change shoes but I doubt it.

Yup! I drive a 5 speed, and always drive it barefoot in the summertime.
However, I drive a semi for my job, but always wear boots when driving it....I am in and out of the truck often, plus you are constantly shifting and it would get hard on the feet after awhile.

I drive a standard car and find that many of my shoes hinder my ability to push the clutch in. I love driving barefoot - and I find that I drive much more smoothly when I am such.

I would be concerned about getting out in a emergency and running around barefoot in a fire, broken glass or any such matter!
