Civic coupe, and get the Si. You'll be just shy of 200hp, otherwise you'll have a slow car. As for the interior get beige, grey is disgusting and will only make your car look boring inside.

There's not a lot of driving difference that I've noticed. If your tall you may want the bigger doors and very little extra leg room of the coupe. But if you get the coupe it does kinda make the car look like it's got a big rear end. If you and your friends car pool a lot, or you have a family, the sedan. Get what fits you needs.

I have the 2006 Civic Si. It only comes with a black cloth interior. A 4 door version is due out in the next few months. The Si's interior is fantastic and the seats very comfortable. It's the only model with red illuminated gauges.

The Civic Si is a fantastic car to drive that hugs the road and has loads of oomph. It has a short throw six speed manual gearbox only - don't ask for an automatic they don't waste their time making a coupe and diluting it with an automatic. The 200bhp 2 litre engine revs to 8,500 rpm- way above most cars, and has a reverberation chamber Honda put in so it makes a fantastic snarl as you get it to over 6,000 rpm when the cam shaft modes switch over (e.g. it's designed to be driven at over 6,000 rpm).

The back seats of the 2 door are surprisingly spacious and can fit 2 large adults with comfort.

The stereo that comes as standard is 350W and is fantastic. It plays MP3 and WMA (better codec) CDs negating the need for a changer. The volume automatically adjusts based on speed (this can be switched off).

The downsides of the Si are:

1) It takes only premium gas

2) Dealers don't get many so they charge a premium for them. Call around - I got mine under MSRP in Petaluma, CA. (Dont even think you'll get one near invoice price). Many dealers are charging $2k over MSRP.

3) Due to short supply it's practically impossible to get a test drive.

Since getting a test drive is nigh on impossible as a Civic Si owner I would highly recommend buying one. Best advice is phone around at least 5 dealers - if you're prepared to wait a few weeks you'll get one at or just under MSRP. If you walk into a dealership and they have one expect to pay $2k over MSRP.

Final words - be sure to get an insurance quote before you buy an Si.

You and your mate? Coupe for sure...grey interior allows you to accessorize to your color taste. (honda beige is too strong a color, in my opinion it limits what you can use inside.)

If you have kids, or carpool....sedan for sure because imagine having to pull the seat forward everyday twice a day....what a pain. 4 doors will make life easier.

My mom just got the 2006 coupe and she LOVES it...it is the coffee-ish color on the outside & grey inside....it is a great looking car! I love it, I want it, but I have kids....Odyssey for me. (grey interior too!)

Go for sedan - those big doors of coupe often cause some problems like door hinges wear fast or sticking window glass, various squeaking, creaking, noises, etc.

if its the 2006 model, the coupes are 10 times sexier. thats assuming u dont care to have the extra 2 doors on the back. but style-wise, the coupe is hot. i might get one myself if i had the money.
