My plan was to move out of my grandparents house when I turn 18, but that's not until April of next year. They are drving me nuts and I would really like to move out this Aug. What I want to do is rent a house with 3 other rommates (I REALLY hate apartments! but I will get one if that's the only way) What is the "legal" age to rent a house/aparetment in the Salt Lake Utah area? Is there any way I would be "approved" if I'm 17? Plus there's the thing on roommates, I doubt anyone would want me as a roommate if I'm still a minor and they think I won't pay my part of the rent. Please, I need advice!

I submitted a letter of intent on a house that I want to purchase in Maryland.. the letter was signed and we went forward to sign the MAR agreement for closing. Today we were supposed to close and the seller said they are going to consider a higher offer... Can I do anything because they did sign the letter of intent with our offer..

We're in Indiana. Have to get to KY by end of summer (where I'm from). But we have to get rid of this trailer the cheapest and easiest way possible.
He owes about $13,000 to the bank. That's because he had to get it refinanced... his ex wife was a b*tch. He had to get it reposesed and sold BACK to him in order for him to keep it because she wouldn't sign it over and had no way to pay. Before refinancing, it was sold to him for about $9000. He's paying way more that it's worth. He thinks it'll be worth about $8000 now since it was worth $9000 a year ago. My grandfather tells us we have about 3 options:
1. See if someone will take over payments ($250/month). (why would they do that since the payments total to over $13000!?
2. Rent it. (I don't know if we'd trust anyone to rent if we're 2 hours away).
3. Have it repossesed.
4. Sell it and pay remainder in our $250/mnth payments (would suck to pay that on top of new rent bill)
(cont)...

We are currently renting a house. We have a laundry list of complaints about it ranging from the toilet constantly leading to the foundation caving in and having mold. I have called the city offices and all they can give me is a list of codes for new structures. How can I get this stuff resolved? Who else should I contact? Should I call HHS too??

We are going to be having a baby soon and this house has too many things that are unsafe for him. I have already drafted a list for the landlord as to what we feel needs to be addressed.

I lived in an apartment with some friends a while back. Due to a family health crisis, i had to move out. I gave my roommates about 3 weeks notice, even offered to find a replacement, but declined. At the same time, my roommates boyfriend was staying with us from out of the country. He didn't work and didn't pay rent. I suggested he pay, but my roommate told me it was impossible b/c he didn't work. I left it at that. I gave them notice and they rejected my offer for a replacement. I had bigger family issues to deal with.

Now, the lease is completely up. The roommates are moving out and going to live elsewhere, seperately. When we moved in we each paid a $700 security deposit. We each wrote checks for this from our own accounts, using our own checks and sent them to the landlord.

I made the landlord aware I was leaving and someone else was living there and not paying rent. The boy had been with living with us for 3 months at that point and not contributing.

Or how can I get out of the contract with my current agent? Our home has been on the market for 3 months now and we keep dropping the price. We are at the absolute lowest we can go right now. Our agent just doesnt seem to be doing anything. She has only had 3 open houses since we have been on the market. Isn't your agent suppose to be bringing activity to in? Maybe I am wrong, but I just feel that all she is doing is sitting and waiting for it to sell. We have dropped our price 3 times. My husband signed with her for 6 months. So what are our options. Can we list with a second realtor or how can we get out of the contract?? Thanks

Is anyone familiar with rights for renters in Illinois? We are locked into a lease until August 30 of this year and it states we MUST give a 2- month notice of moving out. This has been nearly impossible, because most apartments don't know of their availability until 30 days before the move-in time. If I do not follow what the lease says and only offer them a 30-day notice upon moving out, what kind of legal issue could this cause, if any?

We were in the process of buying a house the sellers and realtor paperwork all signed .I sold a property for less than market value to purchase this property. The property we were going to buy was then sold on the courthouse steps two weeks before we were to move in.We had a home inspection carried out mortgage all arranged etc. The sellers and realtor were even in the property while the inspection was being carried out
I feel the realtor misrepresented this property and caused us to loose a lot of money and stress for my wife and myself. we were basically homeless for about two months.
Do we have any legal recourse on the Realtor and Seller

There is an road that leads to the property. The road has not been used since 1960. I herited the land from my parents. Now the 2 properties have been sold in the front of my property and the New Company Owners are requesting $30,000 for me to access my property which is located in the rear of their property (2 tracks of land). The property is located in Fredericks Hall (Louisa County, VA). The road runs parallel to a railroad track. There are 2 properties between my property and the main road. The road actually runs parellel or between the railroad and the 2 new properties. The company has built an road for their properties and runs to the beginning of my property line. I need guidance in obtaining aceess and can the company actually permit me not using the previous established road that they have repaired. Is there an required amount of monies that can be charged for access? what is Virginia state law regarding Land Access or obtaining a deeded right of way?
