I don't understand, why a bank or BS, will not give you a mortgage on a leased property, with 51 years less on the lease, when the mortgage is taken over 25 years? Any ideas?

If so, can A lawyer contact me in north houston and set up a lawsuit? I paid them $259 in refundable deposits, when I get my refund 1 month after I moved out, it was short because they claimed I was late 2 days returning the keys and the blinds were damaged. Both were FALSE, and they finally admitted it when I backed it up with evidence, and they said they would refund my money, which, TO THIS DAY, they have not!! It's been over 3 months since I left and no refund. I want to sue them bigtime. if you're a lawyer and want to make some money off this case, please contact me.

There suing me because they think I had knowledge of a problem. They are suing me for bat removal and replacing insulation so far I learned that there are alot of homes with bats and replacing insulation is very unheard of. so it's small claims court. I'm just looking into "possibilities" right now and have never had my own apartment or home, but renting seems like throwing away money. If a person can get a small home that's still bigger than an apartment that would be at a monthly mortgage payment that's equivalent to a rent payment, would owning be better than renting?
I know there'd be other worries - upkeep, mowing, etc. but I don't mind that stuff if it would be my own place.

General opinions or opinions based on the financial knowledge between the two would be helpful.

I would like to buy a plot of land in the Phillipines to build a house for my retirement. The problem is that I am a European and as I am not married to a Filipina, leagally I cannot own land there.

I have been told that many Europeans in the same situation have bought land there and I have been told many different stories as to how they do it. Does anyone have any reliable knowledge as to how to proceed without problems and headaches. I would be most grateful for any information provided. John dayz

My home has been on the market for over 2 months and I finally got an offer. The "buyer" has no problem with the price, but It is her father (the accountant) that does. Our list price is $216,500 and this moron bids $202,000. I countered @ 215,000 and they offered 212,000. I told my realtor to let them know that if they won't give 214,000 then don't call back.

Was I wrong not to take the offer? The buyer is well qualified and is OK with it, but her father isnt.

I am also closing on another house this week and do need the proceeds from this one. I had to take out loans for the new mortgage and a line of credit on this home.

I think that real estate staging could be low cost start up business, problem is I can't even afford to put ink in my printer let alone get or print business cards or pamphlets to promote the business. I've done a lot of research in the market and think it could be really successful. What is best way to raise cash when bank won't back you and family and friends are even more tapped than you?

Do you have anything to lose other then just getting a no for an answer?and also how much is it even worth asking them to go down, I know that most people usually price a little higher then what they expect to sell for for negotiating purposes, but how much?
