This is a UK question.

The rules of the tenancy agreement specifies tidy gardens. The landlord is using the garden as harassment (it is impossible to comply with him) so what are my options? I have no proscribed weeds (do brambles count as weeds?) or vermin and I tidy up the paper rubbish caused by the neighbours. I do not have any smell creating pets or venomous wild animals. Bicycles and garden furniture I do have (but the neighbours have cars and caravans).

This is not the first time of harassment. I threatened legal action last time, but this time they are much heavier. I know it is enemies deliberately causing me trouble, but that does not stop the authorities doing it. I think they want me out so they can get their buddies in my flat, aided and abetted by unknown social workers.

Hey all, I just received noticed from the Property Mgmt company that my roommate and I have 30 days to vacate the house or that our rent will increase another $200/month. Two years ago we signed on for a year lease, and after one year the rental company increased our rent $25/month. We did not renew the lease at this time because the rental company never mentioned anything about a renewal, so I guess we are month-to-month. But, I was under the impression the landlord had to give us 60 days notice, wherease, we had to give the rental company 30 days notice. I don't know where I got this idea, but I just figured that was the case. So, we are good renters and they are not evicting us for anything we've done wrong, just purely business. But, as far as you know, am I right to assume I should have 60 days? I appreciate your help on this and links if you have any.

I'm moving to oversea and urgently want to sell my house. What can I do if I already put my property in the MLS but no response yet (I need to leave the country at the end of Dec)? Should I talk to the bank to take the house back? Any help will appreciate!

We have only been living in the house from a couple of months. I understand about waiting to see if the rates are lower than our original but do we need more equity in the home? Or do you just need the rates to be lower? And how much of a difference would it make if say there was a 1/2 of a point difference? Thanks for the help in advance

A lawyer friend told me that I may deposit a partial, late payment from the buyer into my bank account, and still foreclose, if I write something on the check, but she couldn't remember exactly what I'm supposed to write. Does anyone know what the phrase is?

I'm in the market for a cnodo in Chicago, and would love to be downtown. But before I set an appointment at the JH Center to view condos I want to make sure I'm not totally out of my price range. Anyone know how much a studio,or one-bedroom costs? I know 2-bedrooms run around 400-450. Thanks!

This is going to be my 1st time owning a home, right now i'm living in an 900 sf apartment, my new home will be in Riverside,or San Bernadino CA and there will be only me and my husband and maybe kids in future. I would like to have a rough idea on how much the monthly expenses will be to own a 3300 sf house (with energy saving window) vs what i'm paying now living in apartment. Appreciated those who live in similar size home can give me a rough numbers you pay in utilities like gas, electricity, water, Home hazard insurance, etc.

Thank you and appreciate your respones

Whether they buy it or it was inherited or a gift, is it possible for a minor to own a house? Does it matter if they are emancipated or not? I've always been curious about this.

We had seller & buyers ready to close today and docs sent to the title company and then we get word that the house was sold today at 2pm. Buyer, sellers and realtors were all in shock. Wells Fargo is the bank and they knew there was a contract closing today. Is there anything we can do immediately?

I broke my lease 2 yrs ago. The lease was for 14 months. I completed 10/14. I had emergencies throughout my lease that caused me to not keep up the lease. I was struggling for 2-3 months after my unexpected emergenices. On my 11th month, I just left without making arrangements. I did surrender my keys and gave management my new address. I was billed 3k from the office and I decared bankruptcy on it. It was very stupid and now I am ready to have an apartment again I do have plenty of money saved just in case something happens again. What should I do and whay may possibly happen when I apply?

I have a 3 yearl old A/C coil on the inside of a duplex unit. The condensing unit outside has to be replaced. The coil is a 10 Seer. Of course you now have to have a 13 Seer. One A/C company said I have to replace both, the condensing unit as well as the coil because if I don't replace the coil to match, the liquid will run into the compressor & it will go out in about 5 years. A different A/C company said that I do not have to replace the coil & that it will only pull a 11 or 12 Seer. He said that is all that means. Who is right???

My monthly income averages from $600 to $800 a month. Two of my friends want to get an apartment together. The rent would only be $250/each a month. I don't think that's too bad.

But, will that be enough money left over for me to live on? I've been trying to calculate my expenses and see how much I spend each month, but I'm still not sure. ... just because I've never done this before!

I'm a little nervous ...

How much money can the average person get by on each month?
