The management of the apartment complex where I live put me together with three really noisy roommates. I asked them multiple times to move me to another apartment but they keep giving me the lame excuse that "this IS a college town". I am thinking about moving out and stop paying the rent. So what is the worst that can happen if I stop paying the rent? I WANT them to evict me so that I can move somewhere else.

The pipe that broke was upstairs and the water went through the ceiling and down the walls destroying everything in its path. The carpet had to be replaced as well as some of the drywall and insulation. We had to pay for the servies of a plumber, an electrician and drywaller. I did the rest of the work (demolition, removal of debris and painting, spackling, etc. By the way, we did not have adequate insurance to cover the cost of repairs so it all went on the credit card.

Lately I have started receiving "invitations" to attend Forclosure Seminars to learn how to benefit from other people getting into mortgage trouble. Now isn't this just the American way!

I want to whosale properties. I know what to do but I'm not really sure in how to do it. I know that you find a house and sell at low price and put it under contract.
What are other steps?

We are considering listing our house for sale with an agent. A
local agent contracts with a 3% (actually , only 2% if the listing agent sells my house) commission. The obvious advantage to
using this agent is to save thousand$ in commissions as compared to the typical 4-6+% asked by others. This agent is not a "fly-by-nighter" and has been around for about ten years.
In keeping with the saying,"if it seems to good to be true......",
are there any disadvantages by using this discount agent?

We have found the apt of our dreams in NJ for $1000, its a 2 bedroom, walk in closets, hardwood floors, great area, central air, huge windows, everything is brand new, BUT utilities are not included, like NONE. Ive never had to pay for my own utilities so I have no clue what I might be looking at. My fiance and I both work, he has 2 jobs, so do I , I go to school, so we are hardly ever home... but i dont want a $500 water or electric bill coming at me next month... any idea how much utilities might run us?

I live in skegness (cheap town) in Lincolnshire, England. I am looking to move out of my parents house in September, and am drawing up a budget now. This is what I plan to live by: is it realistic?

Rent: £80 per week, so £400 per month...
Water rates: £30 pm...
Electricity: £20pm...

I've also counted up mobile phone, food, toiletries, clothes, going out....anything I've missed?

What's council tax and insurance, will I need to pay those? (I'm 16) Thanks! x

The house is in a park, not on private land. It's a big one, 2400 sq.ft. I am current with the payments, but my job is making me move 500 miles away, I won't be able to make payments on 2 homes. Is it better that they repossess it or foreclose? It's for sale but the market doesn't look good, homes have been for sale there for over 4-5 yrs. Renting is out of the question, I can't afford the insurance they charge for a rental modular, and I don't want it destroyed by the kind of tennants it would draw.

Ok, here's the scenario. I hired a realtor to sell my condo, with the understanding that once it sold, I would use her as my realtor for the purchase of a new condo or house. I would not even consider looking for something new however; until after the condo sold. I also told her that I could NOT lose any money on this transaction - the sale price would have to cover the two mortgages, realtor commissions, and fees.

To make a long story short, I felt as if she hasn't been on my side since the get go. The first bid was over 10% less than my asking price, and she was pressuring me very hard to accept it. I would have lost $8,000 has I listened to her. I didn't, held out, and got close to my asking price.

At any rate - am I obligated to use her for the purchase of my new place? I did sign a paper saying I would. I do not have a new place at this time, but I'm so fed up with fighting her at every turn - it makes the whole process even tougher. Advice anyone?

Why does it seem as though the real estate market has no concept of supply and demands effect on pricing. What caused the real estate value boom and aren't I screwed since I'm unable to buy the quality of home a person my age and income level (Considering inflation) was able to purchase in 1997?

Our credit is just under 500. Our current house is being sold in a short sale next month. So we won't have any money to put down. We need to find a new home soon. So we won't be homeless. We are a fairly big family and looking at double wide mobile home and some land. The double wides have four bedrooms which we need.
