....and you'r recent residences left the place trashed or even kinda messy. It has to be cleaned before you can sell or rent again,so you hire a cleaner or maid to do the job. What would you be willing pay that person hourly?

Hire a reputable co. that will give you a flat rate with a contract stating exactly what they will do. With a contract you have legal standing. If they don't fulfill the contract, they don't get paid. Then sell the place and get out of the rental business.....this WILL continue, and because you are asking this question, you are not knowledgeable enough to be a landlord. The stories are many, including....appliances (oven, range, refrigerator, water heater) taken, copper (baseboard heat, plumbing), light fixtures, rent not paid (judgment awarded, but no way to collect). Walls destroyed just to be vindictive. Neighbors mad at you for the problem your tenants create, and trying to hold you legally responsible (sometimes successfully).....and MANY, MANY more.

I would pick up a local periodical, check bill boardsm company listings under that category and call around to get a feel for what the market prices are. With about 10 calls in your area you should have a good idea what the going rates are going to be within a margin. Good luck

I would look at how big the job was and come up with a set price instead of paying by the hour ... like maybe 200 or 250 if it was a huge mess... but i don't know what you should charge because i don't know how big of a mess they left

Take a survey of local prices in your area then pay accordingly. Check the local papers and make some calls.

$15 or more would probably be fair in most areas.

Most cleaners, however, charge "by the job" in order make more.

That depends on the charges in the area where you live.
