I get paid? I have also heard that finding a licensed appraiser to sponsor me through my training is very difficult. Is that the case?

I am moving out at the end of this month. I left for vacation on the 14th until the 19th. Since being back from vacation, I have been staying with my parent's or at my boyfriend's. Before I left for vacation, I was at the house for a total of 4 or 5 days, at the most. I payed my rent at the beginning of the month, and the utilitites are, as always, paid at the end. My roommate and I usually split the utilities 50/50. His girlfriend has been at the house more than I have, and she is moving in after I leave. I don't think I should have to pay half, but I will gladly pay a third of the utilities. I was never there and hardly used anything in the house. Like I said, his girlfriend was there more than I was.. why should I have to pay??

Please comments and suggestions are encouraged... THANKS!

So my friend just told me that If I am making about $60K in SF, its almost impossible to buy anything in San Francisco with $20K down payment. Even if I get a loan, it will be a really bad deal. Is this true? Is San Francisco out of control and only for the wealthy? Should I even try or keep renting, by the way, my rent is $500 per month (in law). Thank you

Okay, this is going to be a bit of a long question and I appreciate whoever reads through and answers.
I live in an apartment - my parents are divorced and I receive $600 a month from my father (child support) that I use to pay most of my rent. My mother has co-signed for me twice before, although she is also currently renting (her and my stepfather own two businesses).
They decided to let my boyfriend and I move in together, and we found a great apartment. Problem is.. the leasing company will not let my mother co-sign because her name is on another lease (which has never been a problem before). My boyfriend's father, who has owned the same home for 14 years and makes upwards of $90,000 a year tried to co-sign for us, but they said it wouldn't work (he also owns his own business)!

Is this normal? Are all leasing companies going to turn my co-signers away like this?

I will obtain an attorney for the purposes of getting a quiet action deed, but I have questions that might ease my mind while I am considering the purchase of tax property.

Once the county has had its tax sale and the state has purchased the property,

1) Who cares for the property? --some of these places look abandoned but are mowed, others are not mowed at all.

2) Who has the keys to the property/house?

3) How can I get an idea of the inside of the property, ie. how many rooms, appliances, condition of floors, walls, etc.? Is that even possible? (I am looking to buy my first tax property in a certain area as a home. I wouldn't have the time to fix up something, sell it, and look for something else, although I may do that later.)

4) What if someone is living there or cares for the property?

5) Once I have purchased the property, do I have to wait for the quiet action deed before I can look inside, change locks, etc?
Any real help I can get would be appreciated

How should I deal with my Realtor?
hello everybody and thanks for reading my question.
from six months ago I was trying to buy a multifamily property in glendale. property costs around 1000000 $ and I want to pay 100000 as a down payment. property is located in good area and projected income is arount 50000 per year. considering todays option arm loans do you think its a wise investment? my calculations shows that the interest only monthly payment and monthly tax is around 7500$ which shows that I will owe
7500-5000=2500 per month or 12*2500 per year.if I try to sell the property in two years do you think its a wise investment?
what should I ethically do with the realtor? he helped me build up my credit and right now he is pushing me to buy this property saying that we put a lot of time looking for it and...
I still think it is not a wise investment what do you think?

We current own a side by side duplex, and looking on selling in the next year or so. We are thinking of doing some updates to both sides but are not sure if it is really worth it as it is a rental property. I know for home they say baths & kitchens are important - what about a duplex? What do people look for when purchasing one? Help !!

We are trying to sell our house but the housing market here in michigan sucks. We would like to just get what we owe and get out here. Are there any investors or companies that do that sort of thing? we owe alot less than what the house had appraised for but we just want out.

I signed a lease and paid a pet deposit. Now I am told that I can not stay at the apartment because of the breed of my dog. The complex is going to let me out of the lease. I was told that I have 7 days to "decide what I am going to do". Legally, how long do I have to vacate the property?

for damages that was not my fault, the water heater on the second floor flooded my apt. & they didnt help much, only dryed the carpet out, so i moved out 2 months later, they want me to pay alot of money for damages. Any work that was done was crapy like the dishwasher, it was put in poorly it falls out when anyone opens it. the door was not properly installed when I moved in. There is mold in the walls, they wouldnt do anything about it. What should I do or say? I dont want money I just dont want to pay for there poor maintenance.

Why do most landlords take a huge deposit for living in their house plus they are getting their mortgage paid and still think it is up to them to say you can not have a dog etc ! this really annoys me as my kids would love a dog and everything in my house belongs to me except the carpets and in anycase my deposit would cover any damage with lots to spare, its just not fair !!!!

I see these informercials on tv and newspapers all the time about real estate seminars workshops at different hotels and when you go, they want you to sign up and pay $2,000 - $4000 for 3 day bootcamp where they say they'll teach you stuff about real estate investing with no money down or forclosure short sales etcetera. Are these scams or do they really work easy like they claim?

I live in an apartment complex, all are 2 bedroom apartments. Many of these have 10-15 people living in them and are way overcrowded, I know this is against the state laws, but who would I call to notify someone. Overcrowding is unsafe, and I feel bad for the children stuck in these places. Apartment management knows of the problem but, the manager is Mexican and 100 percent of the overcrowded apartments are filled with those of Mexican descent so she will not do anything. It is driving me crazy having to live like this, my lease will be up soon and I am getting out but, I feel that the laws are being broken and they have ruined my home and I want to make things right for my neighbors who cant move right now.

I am interested in buying my first home. I have looked into several downpayment assistance programs and government programs. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Here is our situation. Unmarried with 1 kid. I filed bk in 2002. Since then I have had 4 loans with the same bank. These loans are or were paid on time. I did have 1 cc but settled for less than full payment. I do have several medical bills which are in collections. I do have a monthly payment plan set up. The other medical bills, I have set up a budget to get paid off in the next few months. My credit score 574-584. Bf has bad credit just applied for cc. In 2001 car was repossed. Our financial situation is as follows Gross Monthly income 3850 fixed debts 1000. Since we are not married we'll they look at both of our credit reports or work with the one is better and use the income available from the other. Any help would be appreciated. I know there is something out there somewhere.
Thanks to everyone in advance.
