I have a credit card and planned on paying the balance off at the end of the month, every month. I received a letter from the college that I am going to attend about a deposit that I need to make in order to apply for housing. I didnt expect to have to pay for this so soon and was going to use my credit card to make the payment. I will most likely have the money to pay off the entire balance in full but I was wondering, if I pay payments on the credit card will it effect my credit? I will make the payment on time but I just thought that your credit would be harmed if you dont pay off the balance in full. Thank you for your time!

my friend went to buy something from a shop. He then handed over his credit card for payment. The cashier questioned him that the card isn't signed in the back, so he cannot accept credit card. My friend then agreed to sign the card there, but the cashier then asks friend to show ID. My friend then shows his driver license but even then the cashier refused to accept ---- cashier said name on credit card is too common, and many people have that name.

Friend's name is Joe Smith. The credit card really belonged to him, and even after showing license he is still rejected sale.

who is at fault and what to do in such situation?

Joe says he feels utterly humiliated and harassed by the cashier and is still upset.

I have an egg credit card, i was under the impression that the interest rate was just on what was bought after the 0% ran out. My sister said it's on the whole balance. Does anyone know?

Do I have a bad rate?

Can anyone recommend a good card to transfer the balance to?

Or a good 0% card?

I have tuition debt with my university. After being contacted by a few collections agencies for a few years, I finally received a letter from an attorney representing my school. So, I mailed a letter explaining my financial hardship and plan to make monthly payment of a few hundred dollers because I did not want to be sued.

Now, after I sent an initial payment, the attorney sent me copies of the Stipulation of Settlement for me to sign and return to the attorney.

What does this mean? The reason why I decided to make a monthly payment is because I do not want to be filed with the court. So, can I refuse to sign the Stipulation??

I cannot afford to find an attorney to take care of this situation, so any information is very appreciated!

A coffee shop had credit card symbols on it glass -- visa, mastercard, american express. So i asked for a coffee, and just as i was about to hand my american express card for payment, the cashier refused saying

minimum payment must be $5 for credit card or pay cash.

I never use cash. So i walked out without buying anything.

But i mean the shop door displays credit card signs, yet shop refused to accept card for something as little as $2.20. Isn't this arrogance?

I am having trouble with applying for things because I have no credit. I want to apply for a credit card that I can afford and just pay it off right away so that I have a zero balance. But according to some people that I talked to you must have a balance to earn good credit.

Now into my last year of graduate school I have several loans with Access Group. The first year I received a very high rate (12.75%). Initially I did not question it. However, last year I realized that a previous creditor mistakenly sent an account to collection in between the time I checked my credit (in July) and applied for credit (in August). I have since cleared the collection from my credit, but Access says that won't reassess old loans. My subsequent loans are much lower in interest and I firmly believe that I received such a high rate because of the erroneous collection. I am accruing a considerable amount of interest due to a mistake by a creditor. What can/should I do?
