Hello. I have a discover card cashback bonus card and someone called in as me which caused Discover Card to place my account on hold. It has been three weeks now and I have very little time to go to prove i am the account holder by showing my driver's license. I just check right now and i have 0.00 dollars in cashback bonus in which i was suppose to have $130.00. I am so friggin pissed since it took me two years to accumulate all of that bonus. What should I do and do they have the right to forfeit from me?

Is it true that your record as bad credit will clear after 7 years even though you did not pay the amount you owe?

I do owe the debt and will pay it, but my credit report is stating the wrong amount. I sent out a debt validation letter and recieved back my debt amount but it is for about 50% less than what is in my CR. What should I do? Contest it again or just contact the debt collector and start my negotiations? I don't want to get stuck with the other 50% after I pay them off.

Hello,

My mother is disabled with mental illness and is on disability. She is unfortunately not able to make the best decisions with her money. For instance, telemarketers and informercials frequently con her into buying things she can't afford nor does she need.

In addition, she had an x-boyfriend that took advantage of her and had her run up her credit cards for him.

What can I do to prevent my mother from being able to have and use a credit card? Do I need to be her guardian? If I am will I become legaly responsible and liable for her debts and actions?

Any other suggestions on how I can get rid of her credit?

Thanks for your help!

I recently purchased an atv. at the time, i could afford it with no problem. but, as my luck goes, i found out recently that i no longer can afford it and will HAVE to get rid of it. i've only ridden it once because this came up and i've been scared to drive it since. it only has 14 miles on it so its pretty much brand new. i was wondering if i took it back voluntarily, will it still hurt my credit? shouldnt they be able to resale it for about the same price since it only has 14 miles on it? very unlucky circumstances for me that these money problems came up right after i bought the atv. somebody please help!

I have no idea how they got my email but it seems an oil company needs my help. They are buying oil refinereries in Houeston Texas for millions of dollars and their investors will be making millions within day's because of the price of oil...they have offered to give me 100K to help them open up their American accounts. They said if I send them 3K they will open my account and wire me $100,000 on Wednesday. I wrote them that I was interested and he's calling me back tonight.

I feel like I have won the lottery!!!!!!!!!

Oh....he said that everything is 100% backed by the Nigerian government so it's 100% solid...for sure.

I've never done this....and suggestions?

Hi I have like almost 20g on credit card debts. I was able to work due to injury and was on disability for past couple years. I didn't get much for disability so lived us a few credit cards. Now, I'll be going back to work but it is a modest paying office job.

What can I do about the debt?

My neigbor tried one of those credit consolidation companies recommended here and they asked for a small monthly minimum for all bills but turned out none of the $ went to pay the bills so she lost that $ and her credit cards were never paid! SO PLEASE don't just say some random online company. Please tell me a company if you used them with success or what else you did for successs.

I can't make the minimums, each card is like almost $200 minimum.
Please help, I choose to change and live off of cash vs. credit (unless true emergency or real bills, very few pleasures) but am dying on this plastic mess.

THANK YOU!

P.S. I tried calling all the credit card companies and no help!

I consolidated this credit card that i maxed at 5,000, and I consolidated two other cards one was 800.00, and 500.

Before i consolidated the three cards i was current and On TIME, but it was a deep HOLE in my pocket so I consolidated and took my interest rates from 15% to 4%, and I have been paying on time for a little over a year. I am getting an AwesoME christmas bonus from my job, and plan to pay off my debts after NOV.1.

so what I am asking is:

Will my credit score go up after paying down debt by 60%,(because I know its good to have a little debt!) or because its consolidated it will still look bad! i recent learned consolidating isnt a good thing to the credit people!

I am behind 2 car payments through Chrysler Financial. Due date is the 17th of every month. On the first, I can make one payment, but that would still put me 14 days behind on one. Then the next one would be due on the 17th, and I'm not sure how I could make it. Am I just dreaming to hope that if I can make a full payment on the first, they might give me a two payment extension, making the next one due Dec. 17th? Or possibly making one payment, getting a one payment extension, and changing the due date to the first of each month? That would mean I could pay the one that's over a month late, make the next one due on the 1st, and then extend that? Make sense? My husband and I just separated and are going through a nasty divorce. I have cut back on all expenses to try to stay afloat.

Up until last year I did not have a problem. Some of my mail had my physical address, and some my mailing address. My post office began stamping my physically addressed mail with a red "incorrect address" stamp. They will now often return the mail to the sender. I have been fighting with banks and credit offices to change my current physical address to my p.o. box. They will not send my bills or credit cards to my p.o. box! Because of this much of my mail is rerouted back to the business. I am being penalized with late fees because of this now. I have cancelled many of the cards, however I'm still having a rough time with my bank. I have been approved for loans, but when they send me the check it gets returned back to the bank. They will not accept I have a p.o. box, therefore I have had to cancel my approved loans. They cite that it's because of the "Patriot Act." I've tried to research this but I don't see where it says I don't have the right to get my mail at my address. Help!

My ex-husband opened up at least two joint bank accounts that I never knew about, while we were separated. After racked up credit cards, he had his name removed off the account, claiming it was hurting his credit. So, we were officially divorced 2 weeks ago, and I'm left with the open accounts that I had nothing to do with.

I called the police because the fraud department told me I should make a police statment, and they wouldn't help... they just told me to get an attourney. HELP!

My daughter was in an accident with my mother last year. She was taken to the hospital and must have given them her personal information during intake. She recently got turned down for a cell phone and I encouraged her to get a copy of her credit report. The hospital bills are on her credit report. Is this legal?? We were covered as far as insurance and I should have been listed as the person responsible for the bill. She was so shaken up that she didn't give them my contact information. Is there a way to have these items removed from her credit?
