I assume you loan is with the same bank ?

.. and I assume your 'card' is a debit card ?

Well, IF your current account is in Credit, THEN you can still use your Debit card.

HOWEVER, if your Current Account is in Credit, I am very surprised that the Bank has not taken the loan payment direct out of your account ..

Steve and Dee both right they can and will take your card if they wish or if they fell account not being run correctly. Am surprised also they missed taking a payment your best bet is to make appointment with your account manager or speak to them on the phone as soon as possible DONT ignore this it will only end in your tears am afraid and you dont want to bugger your credit ratings if you can help it. Am sure that if its sorted you'd get card back soon too. Good luck

Not to mention the fact that if you don't honor your side of the agreement, they do not need to honor theirs.

Thus, the loan can become payable as a lump sum. I'd chat to them to discuss what your situation is; missed payments can go on your credit score, you'll need to check this out.

Yes - the card remains the property of the bank at all times.

If you are defaulting on a loan agreement they will withdraw your card.
