I need to pay off 1,500 and I need to pay it in cash. Should I get a bank loan ? Or a loan from like Cash Advance ? Or just get a credit card and get the money from there ? I was thinking of just getting a credit card since I have no credit history I can pay it off and I could build up good credit....what do you think ?

I scored a 791 out of 850 with Eqiufax in Feb. 2006

I just scored an 888 out of 990 with Experian Oct 2007

Do the 2 agencies have different rating systems or scales?

Has my credit score improved from Feb. 2007?

Experian said that I am "Prime" Plus and my Risk Grade is B. My Credit rating ranks higher than 85.15 of US Cosumers.

Is this a good credit rating?

I'm a student with bad credit. Is there anyway to get a $10,000 loan? I have 3 credit cards and they're all maxed out. What I wanna do is get a loan and pay the creditors so all I have to worry about is paying one payment a month rather than worrying about 3.

I only got my total limit lowered by like $250, but they still lowered it and said they did it because I had too many new credit card accounts opened, and too many inquiries.

WTF!?!?!?

Im trying to reestablish my credit and got mannnny credit cards and what not, and now I'm getting PENALIZED for it?

What gives?

Anyways, is this bad for my credit score, that they lowered it?

Thanks.

We got a copy of our credit report from equifax about 2 weeks ago. When the mortgage company pulled our credit report today from the 3 major credit bureaus half the information on it did not match. Information was missing or incorrect. A loan that we recently paid off did not show up even though the loan company confirmed that they do report to the credit bureau and the loan was in our name with the correct socials.

My credit reports say that at least one creditor (or former creditor) is still reporting an address at which I have not lived in many years. I think that I should contact this (these) creditor(s) and give them my new address. However, the credit bureau says that they only keep track of which creditor reported which account information, and do not keep track of which creditor reported which address. Aside from contacting every single creditor, which will take too long, especially because I do not have all the telephone numbers, how can I determine which creditor is still using my old address, i.e., which creditor does not yet have my new address?

I got written confirmation of a settlement agreement with Omni credit services. The deal was to pay two payments of 931.70. I authorized the agency to take 931.70 out of my checking account via a debit card. When I looked at my account 936.70 was taking out. What are my rights? What can I do? They are closed until tomorrow so I cant call the lady I spoke with. No fees were mentioned to me on the phone.

What I'm asking is this: I am rebuilding my credit from a bankruptcy. I have a credit card with a 300.00 limit. The minimum monthly payment is 40.00 a month. If I pay the whole balance off, and don't use to card but choose to keep the account active, how will my minimum monthly payment be applied to my account?

I mean if I pay the disputed charge, would that indicate that I am no longer disputing it?
If I don't pay it...
Will the disputed balance accrue interest charges?

Is my credit score hurt if I change my "no interest" credit cards every year? Going from co. to co. every year is the only way to maintain a no interest card.

What is the next step for me to try and get this removed? I called the original creditor and they said they no longer owned the debt (student loan). I then contacted the address on my credit report with a validation letter and I will quote what they sent me in the mail. "Campus Partners is a billing and bookkeeping agency for student loans granted by colleges and universities throughout this country. We neither participate in the distribution of the monies nor retain copies of the original documents signed in conjunction with the loans)."
"Please contact your lending institution to obtain a copy of your promissory note which specifies the amount and other terms of you loan obligation."
That being said what should I do? Mail this letter with my validation letter to the CR's or what. Do I have to recontact the school that told me they don't own the loan anymore or what? Someone please, I need help!

There was a fraudulent transaction on my credit card a few days ago. I called the bank and closed my account and today I received an "affidavit" for me to fill in to report the unauthorized use. At the end of the form, there is a place for a "notary public" to sign and date. Anybody happens to know more about this? Could a family doctor or a dentist serve as a notary? Thank you.

My mother just received a threatening letter in the mail today regarding an old account from the Law Office of Harris and Zide...
It basically states that "we have previously called this matter to your attention but to date you have not agreed to a payment arrangement to pay the balance on your account that is satisfactory..we feel that we have given you enough time to resolve this matter and that no such further extension should be permitted..unless we promptly receive your check in this office to clear your account we will proceed with whatever collection activity is necessary to enforce payment of this account.."
Well, my mother has never received anything from them in the past.. this was the first time she heard of them trying to contact her.. Also, I just started helping her with her budget and Ive been monitoring her mail and I never saw anything either... of course she wants to settle this debt, but she doesnt have the full amount..she can only do payments, and only starting
