If you have registered your dispute with the credit card company, they should remove it until resolution. I don't pay it -- I wait.

With the credit card disputes I have had, the bank removed the charge until the dispute was over, I am guessing it depends on the bank but maybe you should call them to make sure.

Make sure the disputed charge is processed by the card company. If you have paid it, you can expect a credit on your next statement. I have had such problems with internet purchases and the companies are aware of erroneous and even fraudulent billing by some operators. My accounts have always been credited and the disputes resolved to my satisfaction.

I think if you dont pay, you will be debited for finance charge because it's all in the computer system. You can ask the credit card company to reverse it but it will take time, especially if you have other debits to your account. Suggest you pay it first. You will be credited back if they verified your dispute is valid. Hope this helps.

Don't listen to these people.

Even on a dispute, if you don't pay the charges the credit card will give you a bad credit report sinking down your Credit History.

Do not pay the disputed charge.
If the charge is not yours, then it will be removed. If it is yours, and you are mucking around, then you will be required to pay, plus accrued interest.
