What is the next step for me to try and get this removed? I called the original creditor and they said they no longer owned the debt (student loan). I then contacted the address on my credit report with a validation letter and I will quote what they sent me in the mail. "Campus Partners is a billing and bookkeeping agency for student loans granted by colleges and universities throughout this country. We neither participate in the distribution of the monies nor retain copies of the original documents signed in conjunction with the loans)."
"Please contact your lending institution to obtain a copy of your promissory note which specifies the amount and other terms of you loan obligation."
That being said what should I do? Mail this letter with my validation letter to the CR's or what. Do I have to recontact the school that told me they don't own the loan anymore or what? Someone please, I need help!

It is not up to you to do the collectors job for them.
It is up to "them" to gather the information from the "original creditor" and provide it to you

Send them a second letter and say something like:

Your name
Your address

Their name
Their address

Re: Account #000000 (use the acct # the collector is reporting or listed in the letter they sent to you)

Greetings,

Thank you for your response to my validation request.

This is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is disputed.

In your response you have failed to provide validation and you admit you do not have information on this alleged debt.
Please delete the erroneous items you have placed on my credit reports within the 30 days of receipt of this letter as permitted by law.

I am requesting, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your offices to my home or place of business as it is inconvenient to me. All future communications with me must be done in writing and sent to the address noted in this letter by USPS.

Sincerely,

(your "typed" name or "printed" initials)

Send it certified mail return receipt. When you get the signed green card back send a dispute to the CRA's.

If the collector verifies with the CRA's without validating with you they will be violating your rights. (which could mean up to $1000 to you if you should decide to sue or if used as a counter claim should they ever sue you - and that amount is not counting any violations that they may be reporting)
If they verify it without validating, file complaints with the BBB, FTC, your AG and their AG. Be sure to base your complaints on the fact that they admitted having no information to validate the alleged debt with you yet they verify it with the CRA's.

**the above letter is just a sample. Use it, don't use it or rewrite it to make it your own.

1) Your school has sold the money you owe to "Campus Partners" which I assume is a collection agency.

2) Campus Partners has stated to you that they cannot provide you bills because they are not the original creditor. They are suggestion to you to contact your school to get copy of the Loan agreement and possible a copy of the bill.

From experience, your school will have probably deleted their records since they sold the debt. However here are the solutions I can think of:

a) Try to contact the school to try to get a copy of the Promisery agreement or copy of the bill

OR

b) Sent the documentation that Campus Partners to Experian, Transunion and Equifax to see if they will delete it since they are unable to provide you with a copy of the bill.

I wish you the best.

you right a letter to Campus Partners saying if they can't validate and show you how they came up with the amount owed and prove that you agreed to pay them then they cannot pursue collections and have 30 days to remove
from credit reports or you will instill the option to pursue a lawsuit for false information, reporting, and whatever other violations your lawyer can dig up
