my friend wanted a phone for sprint i did credit check so den we had no money to buy phone week later she calls me n i see she got a phone n the bill is in my name i figured since she pays for it things be ok well she got a new phone n stop paying it n so now i owe for it but 1 thing i didnt sign up nothing about the 2 yr contract so im guessing someone must of sign for it so wouldnt sprint be liable since it wasnt me who sign it i mean i wasnt there they told me since the account been open for like ayr that i still owe and the address didint come to my house 4 a while till i change it but the point i didnt sign up for it dont that count for anything so any thing i can do i appreciate it.

You allowed your friend to use your credit to open up a cellphone account. She defaulted. Now they are coming after you for the bill including the early term fees for that two year contract.

You could try to convince Sprint that it was ID theft but you will have to file a police report against your friend. Very likely this won't fly, since you really did give her permission.

You could pay off the debt and sue your friend in small claims court to recover. You would still have that black mark on your credit report.

This should be a very valuable lesson for you. Never let anyone use your credit or co-sign for anything. Folks who have bad credit got that credit from not paying their bills.

Tell them that, not us. What do you think we can do about it? I mean honestly, call their customer service provider. . .the problem here is that you were paying for it and paying for something can be inferred as signing the contract.
