I just received a gold delta amex. I have a $2,500 credit limit. Used up $2,575. I have no clue what happens next? Will they add up some fees? Credit score-wise? I mean as long as I'll pay it back in full at the end of the month I should be good?
Thanks

When you give your ssn to somebody, like an apartment complex or something, for them to do a credit report, are they able to tell from it how much you make where you work etc., if you are or are not employed etc. Thank you.

I need help. I am 26 years old with horrible credit. I have never had a credit card, all of my stuff is from bad decisions and not having steady income. (was a server for almost 9 years)
Medical bills, eviction, car repossesion, you name it, somehow i got mysef into it.
Just in the past year or so have i realized how much its affecting my life and I want to do something to save my future.
At this moment im feeling overwhelmed and dont know where to start. I have seen info about the debit consolidation programs, but not trusting of them. How do i start paying off these people and companies, without going broke day to day?
names of comapies, help groups, anything would help at this point!!

I am unemployed and yesterday, had to close my bank account. I have an outstanding loan with cash call and I called to see what arrangements I could make to pay it, when I get a job. The woman on the phone told me I had to pay this month, in other words, beg, borrow or steal, because I do not have it. She told me to ask my friends, huh! She told me if I do not pay, I will have to suffer the consequences, does anybody know what consequences she is talking about? They cannot garnish my paycheck, right? I know they can put it on my credit report, what else? I am planning to try to pay it this month, but if I don't have a job or I just started a job, how will I pay?

I have heard a few different theories regarding building your credit using a credit card...I have paid off my credit card IN FULL every time the bill is due. Some people tell me that if I just pay more then the minimum payment, but less than the full amount, your credit looks better and builds faster. Other people tell me to pay in full no matter what and if you don't pay in full every month your credit looks really bad.

Any creditors out there that can offer me some advice?

I just turned 18 and was wondering if I would get approved for a credit card? Or is it just a waste of time to try? Don't worry, I'm not going to screw myself, I DO have the means to pay it off.

I read an article that said credit card grace periods are getting shorter. It said that the average grace period is 25 days. down from 30. and some cards its only 20 days. What is your grace period?

My brother in law was trying to get his credit report online from transunion but it won't let him. We did a seach on his name threw zabasearch and type his name in and it brings up an address in another town (which is his parents address) we type his SS# in and it gave us one address in the town of his parents. His fathers name is the same but different middle Inital, BIL has never live at this address, recieved one credit report from equifax and also has there address, why would this be? would someone have to be using his SS# at this address of his parents?

I'm from the UK and I've been living in the US for 8 months and have to move back to the UK suddenly. I have taken out a lease on a car so will be returning the car to the dealership and won't be able to make the final payments. Will this bad credit be picked up in the UK? I don't plan on returning to the US to live so I dont' mind having the bad credit there, just don't want it to affect me in the UK!

I did! OK, it took me a year but I paid off every penny of it. Some people think that moving to another country is the solution. It's not! I think if people got help then they could become debt free!

My daughter has worked, established credit 800+.
She has worked then gone to school, then worked to make money to return to school.

She has decided to change schools, a private school.

She informed them she'd like to make monthly payments on the tuition, if she may.

They tell her to do that she needs a cosigner. I can understand that, since it is sort-of like taking out a loan.

She then told them, in that case, she'll pay the entire tuition, up front.

They told her regardless of whether the tuition is paid in installments or in cash, she will not be accepted without a cosigner.

What? Why would they need, what reason could they possibly have to require a cosigner, when tuition is paid in full, in cash?

She says that's the way it is. No cosigner, no admittance.
This seems absurd to me & maybe even illegal.

She asks me not to challenge them on it, because if I do, they will not admit her because she has caused trouble.

Suggestions/answers?

Do I need credit or credit cards to live?

I would love to live my life without credit.

makes no sense to use a credit card. You lose and the bankers win, all the time.

I have a capital one card with a limit of $500 dollars. That works out wonderful, except I need to buy some plane tickets that will push me over my limit. I called capital one and my card is not able to have a credit increase at this time.... not because of my credit, just because of the type of card it is.....

so... I am looking for a different credit card. I would like to go with an American Express, but I don't know how to make sure the credit limit won't be $500 again... I can't see where the amount is shown anywhere....

any help?
