My father did this for me years ago (still have the cards). I'd like him to add me to more of his accounts to raise my fico score. I don't want him to think I'm going to rip him off, I don't even want a card in my name.. just something on my credit report that says I have a longer length of credit history.

I went and looked at a apartment yesterday, and talked to the landlord just a bit. I said i liked it and was interested in renting it. He said he didnt have any applications on him but he would contact me later. Well today he called and said he want interested in renting to me, because he pulled my credit report and it wasnt good enough. The thing is I only told him my name. I didnt even tell him were i live now. Also my credit isnt bad. I think i was discriminated against.

i went to byerly's grocery (liquor store department) in eagan, mn and looked over my receipt, which included my full birth date along with the last four digits of my credit card number. Isn't printing my birth date on a credit card or cash purchase an invasion of my privacy? What would justify this?

My friend has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor and has accumulated a lot of credit card debt as she cannot work and has children, (her husband died several years ago). What will happen if she contacts the credit card companies and asks if they can help? Will they lower the balances? There is no way of knowing whether she will be able to pay them at this time.
Will this information about her health get into her credit report if she tells them?

This is warning.... about 3 years ago I helped my daughter out by purchasing a subscription through her school to readers digest... approx. a year ago I asked them numerous times to cancel the subscription and not send any more.. they continued to send books.. I sent them back along with additional requests to cancel subscrition. Then we moved and the books stopped showing up even though we had our mail forwarded to our new address so I asumed the subscription was cancelled and no more monies were owed.....I just recently recieved a call from a collection agency regarding monies owed to Readers digest. I called readers digest to inquire and was told that I had to paythe bill. Please take this as a warning to not subscribe to them because the will RIP YOU OFF!!!!! they are the worst company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with

a relative had co-signed on a credit card for me.... the relative found out that i had accidentally gone over the credit limit (and it's a big limit) i haven't talked to the relative yet about it, but i do know that the relative knows for sure that it was over limit.... i don't know what to do or what to say to the relative about why it's over limit.. i plan on telling the truth, that i just over spend and that i am trying to get out of my hole.... i don't think she'll be all p*ssed off about it, but i do think she'll be disappointed and a little mad.. what do i do!?!?!?!?! i need to get out of this mess!!!! if you were the relative, what could i do or say to make you feel better about what i have done???? I am REALLY sorry and fully intend to pay everything off (and have been paying on it for a while, never late or anything like that....) thanks!

Lets say I have a blance of $1000 on a card w/ 20% interest. After one month of not being paid in full, would there be an additional charge of $200?

Basically, is the interest accrued monthly?? Whats typical?

2007-06-25 08:04:37 · 4 answers · asked by businessgrad2007 2

Are they basically the amount owed against the interest rate? Apperently, these aren't accumulated in your minimum payment amount cause the amound I owed was $511.58 and I made a minimum payment for $15.00 (on time) and for whatever reason, I still owe 528.02 now! Is this a monthly orrurance? I'm just trying to find out exactly what's the real amount I need to pay without paying too much.

This angers me and I don't understand. Does Experian actually inflate your credit scores or is Transunion really a hard-***? My Experian score is 637 which puts me in the "Fair" bracket. But then my Equifax is 606 and Transunion is 598 (crap!) and both put me in the "poor" bracket.

I don't understand. I would think my scores would be relatively the same between the three.

Why the discrepencies in scores? Is one more "accurate" than the other? How would a potentinal landlord and employer evaluate these scores? Would they average them out?
