I'm selling a big ticket item on Craig's list. The buyer is currently out of state, and wants to pay by credit card through Western Union. Is this trustworthy? I've never worked with Western Union before. How does it work?

I currently have a 2 year old visa and an 8 year old discover card. I opened the visa credit card to use during a vacation. The card had one year of 0% interest. That allowed me to pay off the vacation without any interest. Since then I have rarely used the card and it now has a zero balance. It now has a terrible rate. I am interested in doing the same thing again for another vacation. I would like to cancel the visa that I have and open an new one for the 0% intro rate. Will that have a negative impact on my credit? Thanks!

my credit score is 734 because im 21 and only had credit for 3 years. i want 830 or higher right now. i never had a late payment, never had a missed payment. and there are no negative things on my credit. i have all unsecured credit cards with visa and master card with 10,000 credit limit.

but it sayd 30-40% of people have better credit than me. thats a lot. it said it because 3 years of credit history is short. and it said the average credit history is 15 years. im NOT waiting till im old for 830 or higher.

i read something on credit attorney, and it said if you have someone esle authorize you on their credit report, their history on that card reports on to yours.
so if a parent has a 834, and they have a kid with a lower score like 700, it will raise their credit a lot higher right away.
my mom has a 834. could i have her authorize me on her card, and have her history report on to mine? she has no car loan, and owns her house with no mortgage, so theres no risk she will

hi there,,, currently i only own 2 credit card. one is from bank o america visa and other from citi bank master card. its has been now almost 3 years i opened my first bank account with the bank of america and had my first visa card of $700 credit limit. i opened my second credit card account before 6 months from citi bank and got a credit limit of $6000. i use my credit card all the time and never missed any of my payments and rather my credit cards always has a negative balance as i kept on paying extra. by requesting, bank of america raised my visa credit card limit to $2500. i checked my credit score a week back for the first time from EXPARIAN and it was 783. my credit score raised to 783 in 3 years. but i currently dont own any mortgage or any loan under my name. i often get credit offers by mail but never applied any. i am planning to get a car on a loan of $25000. am i going to have problem getting the loan. is it the right time to apply for better credit card? thank you.

What should I do? I recieved a letter from Chase stating that they lost a disc containing personal info about me including social sec#, DOB, address & etc. I called and spoke with the manager who only offered my a year of free credit monitoring and apologies. Does this seem right, should I have been offered more?

I have heard in the past that if you have bad credit your auto insurance rates may increase. I did a chapter 7 bk last month and my auto insurance is due to be renewed at the end of August. I have used the same company for over 10 years now with no accidents. I have never been late or missed a payment.

Is it true that having no credit history is the same as having a bad credit history? Will someone please provide me with a list or a website link that has information for establishing credit for the first time? The fact that I am in my early 40's may or may not make a difference but in case it does now you know. Thanks!

I've heard that in some cases pulling a credit report can negatively affect your score.

was taken over by a debt collection agency called lowell group and an arrangement was made to pay £21 per calender month. however after 3 months, they wrote and told her that they had reviewed her account and increased the payments to £24.50 or close to that figure. she emailed and objected but they still took the new amount. would she be breaking the law to cancel the direct debit and send them a cheque or postal order for the agreed £21 per month? or does she have no option but to pay what they decide?

My fiance is struggling with credit card debt and can't do anything to pay it off. He keeps telling me they can't get money from someone who has none. Anyways someone made a phone call to him last night and said "if you do not call me back by 9 pm tonight I will take every legal action possible against you". Of course he called his family to ask for advice and then they said and have been saying that it's just a "scare tactic"... unfortunatly Im not sure anymore.
