Yep. That's my credit score. How can I apply for more credit to rebuild? Where do I apply?

You can also try secured credit cards if these are unsuccessful and you will be guaranteed to get approved as you have to place a deposit with them in the amount of your balance to guarantee that you will not default on the account.

You can also try credit piggybacking to improve your credit score quickly. This is a proven method of improving your credit scores extremely quickly. Have a family member or friend add you to a credit card that they have a great, long credit history with and you will instantly gain their credit history. Note: not all credit card companies will report the credit history to an authorized user, but many do. You do not have to actually be given access to the account or given a credit card, you are simply added to the account to help build/rebuild your credit. Read the credit blog below for more information on credit.

630 is not great but it could be worse, trust me. First, what type of credit are you looking for? Believe it or not, many companies will extend credit to those with a score as low as 600, you'll just pay higher interest for it. What you need to be careful of is do they report.

Look at your current debts and find out if all of them report to the bureaus and which bureaus they report to. Find out which bureau the lenders in your area primarily pull. This can be very important. You could have a car loan that reports to TU but your territory depends on EqFax. If someone is not reporting your wonderful, you maybe able to negotiate it with them (I threatened to take a loan elsewhere if they didn't report me to my bureau).

Try this forum. The stickies (is that proper spelling) are really helpful.

If you have a credit score in the 630's, your credit is considered fair / average. You can find a complete list of offers for fair to average credit here:

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

nRather that add, you more than likely have some negative stuff that needs to age. Just continue to pay your current accounts on time, and let the negative things get older.
