As I am finishing law school, I was wondering what relationship an attorney can have with a credit agency or business that is able to pull a credit report. It seems as if no attorneys can work for a company that pulls credit reports, but can they own the company, possibly as a silent partner? Can an attorney work for or with a company that pulls credit reports even if it is not in the capacity of working with anything doing with credit reporting? Every attorney that I have looked into requires that a client bring in a copy of their credit report.

Need a personal loan for $3,500.00. I am a private investigator starting my own business. My credit scores are low(I checked them), because I don't have health insurance and have paid rx costs >$300/ mo for more than 12 years. I am sincere about wanting to improve my credit as I want to start a business and purchase a home. I am employed parttime as an investigator and have another parttime job as a sales rep starting July 10th. I will be able to pay back a loan, but because my other job doesn't start for 3 weeks, I am in a desperate situation at present. Will be glad to give additional details to anyone who can offer legitimate suggestion. I am really frustrated with all the scams out there, real help only, please?

I've heard, but not sure if it was correctly, that if you've had a debt for 7 years, it automatically gets wiped off of your credit report, and your credit score returns to normal. Please let me know if that's true or false.

Can't pay the finance charges. I've decided to wait and try and settle with these companies. How long should I wait to start negotiating with them? I'm a co-signer on husbands and my house; can they put a lien on it? My husband is not on my credit dept.

I'm in South Africa or some other country, I want to move to the USA, I saw your listing can you sent me more information, do you accept advance payment and can hold the place for me..and so on and so on about their personal life. It started doing this a few months ago. I make sure I have enough money and even wait a few days so it's all processed {money transfers and whatnot.} Then I check the balance online and it says I have plenty of money. But when I slide it over at McDonalds or at the gas station or other random places, it says I got declined. So I check with my bank and they said they don't know why that is because I have money. I asked if something was wrong with the card but they checked it and said the card looks fine. It'll work sometimes, randomly, but I can never be sure if it'll work or not. I usually take out cash now if I want to buy something but if anybody else has had this problem, should I just insist on getting a new card or what else is wrong?

Over time i have accumulated large credit and personal loan debt that i am really hurting from today. In the past 6-12 months i have been making minimal payments on all the credit cards on time. The interest rates are high on the credit cards between 19-30%. I contacted serveral debt conslidation firms that told me that i would need to be late on my payments before they can help me.
Can anyone recommed a non profit debt managment firm?

I am about 30,000 in debt, mostly from credit cards.

I was married already when the debt occured but they are all in my name, not my husbands. This weighs on me alot. I stopped paying on them about 3 years ago. It got very over whelming.

We are wanting to buy a house in about 2 years. I dont know what to do file bankruptcy, offer a settlement, or continue not paying. Alot of them are "charged off as bad debt" or in collection accounts"

What is in the best interest for me and my family?

Take home pay is about 30,000 a yr. We still have to save for a down payment on a house. We have rent, insurance, gas, electric, internet, tv, phone and all the obvious, normal bills to pay too.

I will answer all questions. And I Thank You for any advise any one has to offer.

I am a single mom with a son going to law school in August- I have a low income-50,000.00 and do not want to worry about a mortgage payment as I may lose my job due to a corporate merger-I can claim the taxes on my return.... I really do not want to worry about a mortgage at this point in my life-any ideas>

There is alot of information sorry I couldn't cut it short. I am applying for a loan for a mobile home (manufactured) and it's a foreclosure that has been on the market 80 days for $84K. No bankruptcy or foreclosure in the past, in fact it's a first time thing. Ok credit score is 585, 637, and 617 well they pick the middle one so it's 617. Gross monthly income of $5000 and monthly debt of $400. Well we were not accepted from caldwell banker b/c the only thing posititve on the report is one credit card which was opened in October and it's a $3000 limit with only $800 spent. On the credit report there is $3267 in debt. Is there any way we are eligible for this loan? We can do $2500 down and can show proof of everything! There are so many people out there that get this sort of thing, people worse off than us financially and it is possible.......I am in desperate need of some assistance. Paying $1000-$1200 a month is in our budget. Anyone please help! Thanks so much!

If it was stolen along with a credit card. Why would the government not want to help someone keep from having their identity stolen before it happens? All credit card charges this person has made have been cancelled along with the card, but if they have the social security card can't they just keep applying for a new card?

Today I found out that my credit score is 770. The reason why my credit score is high is because my parents co signed ro me to get a car loan. Today when I went to apply or a credit card I got rejected. I don't make alot of money. My question is even though I have a high credit card and becuase I don't make alot of money is that the reason I got rejected? Is there any way I can got my own credit card since I don't make alot o money.

I was told i could get one to help my credit score go up.
I have no job and go off my husbands pay. Im about to be 20 in august.

We are starting a family. So I need one that will be good for us in the long run really and we both can have even though i have no job.

I would go throuh our bank, but we might not be with them for long. Our other bank we have I know wont be very good to go through cause we will be shutting it down next year when my husband comes back from deployment.
I want to get credit in case i have to open an account with a company.
I already had to pay a rediculios $200 up front deposit fee for electric, almost had to do the same for the phone as well.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'll ask it anyway: Wilson Lending Inc., and some guy by the name Greg Wilson is offering to lend me $25,000 at 3% over 5 years. All I have to do is send him a $275 non-collateral loan fee? This is a scam right?
