I've heard that in some cases pulling a credit report can negatively affect your score.

They do not run a credit check they run something to see if you owe any other banks, for example overdraft fees etc.

It can, but its very minor. On average 3pts. And they get earned back quickly so dont sweat.

I didnt even realize they ran credit reports when you opened a checking accoung. I dont see why they would since they are ones borrowing from you lol.
