http://www.annualcreditreport.com
This is the TOTALLY FREE government mandated website where you can get free credit report from the 3 credit bureaus once a year. This site will not even ask for your credit or debit card.

Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com
You are entitle to a free credit report, once a year from EACH of the major credit bureaus. Most major creditors report to all the bureaus. So, to check your credit regularly, order one from each bureau every four months.
Warning: there are other sites with similar names that are for profit businesses or marketing companies. You are entitle to a FREE credit report. This means that you do not have to buy anything or sign up for a subscription or accept a trial offer.

WARNING WARNING WARNING.. There is a website called
www.freecreditreport.com. you can order a report from them for free. HOWEVER, my experience was not good and dont believe them to be a SAFE or secure company. Truth is, you can get your report from Equifax, transunion or Esperian for a simple $8.00 fee, if you go to apply for credit anywhere and was turned down, you can send the rejection letter in and get a copy sent to you for free. They stole mine from my apt I was rejected on a bad report. In your state you can call the consumer fraud division of your state and they can recommend a site to go to get a free report, BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN ORDERING ONLINE.. this is a good place to order through the mail and save copies of your requests and checks later , as you may need to prove you already paid to get it.
