I lost a dispute with paypal. I cancled my credit card and bank account so they cannot get my money. Can they hurt my credit? They refuse to give me the evidence that the item I sold was used with out a subpoena. Could I sue them for hurting my credit if that does happen?

I have incured several medical bills totaling 2,300.
After recieving the bills i immediately forwarded letters and checks offering small monthly payments up to 25.00 per month but no less than 15.00 per month . Will they still report it to collections and ruin my credit? I also offered to work with them to pay my bill and do not have all of the money due. I also included in the letters my home phone number. My credit has very much improved and I do not want to ruin it. Will they send the bills to collectiion? Or will they work with me?

I filed for bankruptcy at the end of 2001 and it was charged off in 2002. I thought that bankrupycies last on your credit for 7 years and now I've heard 10. Does anyone know the true answer and how I go about verifying that?

In other words, what are the chances that a bank will re-imburse me if I got scammed by a company outside the states? Pretty much, I got scammed by a Canadian Loan Company. Wired the money through Western Union as a "upfront fee". The rest is history. I'm in the middle of making a police report, but i know others have been scammed too. Is there any of you out there that have been covered by your banks?

My husband and I have been thinking about filing chapter 7. I was recently told that there is a new law in Washington state that you can't claim credit cards when you file chapter 7. Is this true?

I thought no-one should give their S.S. and credit card numbers out. Is this a safe practice? If it is a free credit report, why do they need these?
