I have a hopital calling me to collect on a co-pay when I was admitted to the hospital in 2005. My insurance waives the co-pay if you are admitted. I was a walk in to the ER at 5pm and was admitted late that evening. I cannot remember the exact time. I stayed over night in the hospital and was discharged at 9pm the next evening. Now they are trying to say that I was only there for observation and I owe the co-pay. I know for a fact I was admitted and had to be released by a doctor before I could leave. What can I do?

Hi, I don't owe anyone, anything, but my credit report needs to be cleaned up as I'm working on that. I settled all accounts via an attorney, not paid in full, but settled. I am thinking of getting this low APR credit card and using it to buy something like $25 a month and then pay it each month, just to show I can do it. But I know if I "open:" some things, those settled accounts might come after me, I need all the help I can, especially warnings on what not to do to open those settled accounts. I know not to have anything current put to credit agencies, what else sets red flags newly to my credit report as it was all "settled". Will this credit card open up a can of worms, I don't need it exactly, I just want to start establishing credit. And also, the work to repair it started with the attorney in 2002 and was finished probably in 2004. Isn't it after so many years (2 ?), it lessens the impact of the settled accounts on my FICO score ?

Retirement, Life Insurance, stocks/bonds, Bank Accounts etc. We are in the process of a divorce and I need that information that he has kept from me. He is very controlling and has that kept confidential. I have already seen a lawyer... Isn't there an easy way for the lawyer to request that information from him? Does my lawyer need my input so that we are sure to have ALL of the information? I'm confused. We have been married 7 years.

I had a corporate Amex credit card and was left with a pretty big outstanding balance when my company (Burr Wolff) went bankrupt. Am I responsible for this outstanding balance that was for items and services that were charged on behalf of Burr Wolff (Google AdWords, etc.)? I have had no luck in resolving this with any of the bankruptcy lawyers or from anybody at Amex...please help.

My husband and I have a combined credit score of 708, and we're looking to buy a house within the near future. I was wondering about what the interest rate would be on our mortgage. Thanks for your help! :)

What type of money do I owe whichever company if I have a credit card? Obviously any money I spend and whatever interest comes with it, but any other fees? For example, say I got a credit card for emergencies only so I rarely used it, would I be paying anything for little or no use?
