Hey guys I have a Royal Bank of Scotland students credit card. I have a limit of 250 pounds a month but i wonder what happends if i use it for lets say 300 pounds? Will they hard-core charge me or just charge? I am waiting for my payment slip and need to pay for the accommodation so i consider paying with credit card.

Yes the charge you an overage charge. It usually isn't too much but it depends on the company.

A credit card does not allow you to charge more than the card allows. If there is just 250 pounds on the card then the card will only go thru for a purchase of 250 pounds.

I don't know what a hard core charge is, but you will be hit with fees and a higher interest rate.
