Is there anyone who can lead me to the right lender and please no links to Prosper.com!!!I tried and they were of no assistance to me because of my credit. I hate payday loans and they really have me in a bind. I also do not have a home but would like one. Am I fighting a losing battle?

You may be in a bind until your credit improves. Payday loans are not the answer because of the extremely high interest. You need to find a sub-prime lender, one who will loan money to someone with a low credit score and the interest will be very high. You are not fighting a losing battle because time is on your side. You should try and keep your credit score improving by paying bills on time--that will help raise your score over time and if you cannot borrow from family, just hit the yellow pages or do a search engine for sub-prime lenders. Beware of anyone who makes you pay a membership fee though.

Can you try the bank of mom and dad?
If you have a car, you might want to try to borrow against it.
No one is likely to give you a 'small' loan of 5k
if you have shown that you are unable to pay the bills that you already have. If on the off chance you do get the 'small' loan, you are not likely to have a decent interest rate, thus making your problems much worse....as that 5k that you borrow today will be 6k after your interest in the short span of just one year assuming that you make ALL minimum payments on time!
If you want a home and the like, you really need to figure out why you are having a hard time living within your means!
You might have to get another job if there is no way that you can cut expenses
Are you spending too much money on clothing or eating out? It is up to you to figure out how you got yourself into this bind so that you can get out of it but borrowing more money that you cannot pay back is NOT the answer.

There are companies that will give you a loan, even with a bad credit report. They are usually advertised online (LendingTree.com, etc). Also, if your company has a credit union, join it and get to know the people in it.
However, if you choose to use a lending company, based on how bad your credit score is, you may be subjected to very high interest rates and it may take you several years to repay the loan you want now. If you are still willing to go that route and you get the money, then do use the loan as a way to restore your credit by paying each and every payment ON TIME. If you prove that you can do that consistently until the loan is repaid, your credit score will improve steadily. If that happens, and your score rises over a period of time, you might use that improved score to borrow money (in a small amount from your credit union) at a lower interest rate to pay off the loan with the higher interest rate. But don't make it a habit of reborrowing to pay off loans just because your credit score rises. Creditors will look at that negatively too. Perhaps doing that only once would be the better way.
If your union creditors see that you can repay on time and repay it fully (set up a separate account with them and have it deducted from your that account on a certain date so you're not tempted) they will lend you money again.
Meanwhile, as your credit improve, some credit card companies might offer you credit cards with small balances. DO NOT go this route until you are reasonably sure you might qualify for the card. You might want to get it solely for the purpose of establishing a good repayment history. But DO NOT apply for a host of credit cards just to get one. Each time you apply for a card, your credit score is checked and it shows up as "inquiries" and THAT brings your credit score back down again. Just try one, and if they say no, wait.
Also, if you apply for a card, DO apply for one with only a small credit balance so you don't tempt yourself to overspend. Only after a period of "proving" that you can reliably repay your bills and your credit score has improved, and you have been consistent and on time, your score will soon start rising and you will have recreated a good score AND you won't be back in a situation like you are now.
Make sure you check your score periodically (only when it's free) compare all three for inconsistencies as to reporting, try to resolve negative reports, and take the middle score as a more accurate reflection of where you stand. Also be patient. This will take time.

there is no longer any economic employer which will take you at present day. shall we see...counting on your Fico score and what your income you may try a credit Union quite. If no then the loan shark is the most suitable selection. yet i think of their pastime fee is $35.00 on each $one hundred. The loan shark are those examine and bypass, or payroll advance company's. they're evil although. Becareful and strong success. in case you own a house, its most suitable to do a house fairness line of credit.
