My employment history only consists of sales and retail, i.e. customer service, cash registers, computer programs at various stores, etc. I am interested in applying for a patient account / scheduling position at a local hospital. I need to submit a nice cover letter with my resume, but I have no idea where to start since I have no related experience. I don't even know how to make those previous skills stand out! Any ideas would be great. thank you

I've been to several interviews now and the employer always says that I will receive a phonecall. Are they testing my patience or what?! Does anyone ever get hired on the spot? Or are they trying to reject me but don't know what to say? I am soooo frustrated!!

I know this all depends but in general if I make 42,000/yr as an Admin Assistant then get promoted to an Executive assistant, about how much should I expect to get paid more? This is my first job after college so I'm not too familiar with the promotion and raise process in the work environment. Just curious how much I can expect to get paid if I got promoted. Thanks.

I have worked at this restaurant for 2 years now. My wage is 9.10 an hour. The problem is I acquired a job for my friend there and he is receiving 9.50 an hour! What can I do get a overdue raise legal wise, EEC? And what pay should I demand.

I have established myself as a reliable employee by ALWAYS being punctual, being very productive, and having great relations with managers. I have worked in this business for four years now. My friend, he is completely new and has no experience in the food industry. You see the disparity???

I had applied for a position a month-and-a-half ago, had discussed a plan with my managers, and was assured of this position, after one month of training. However, my official job title is not what i applied for; It is supposed to be a temporary position. Recently, I was informed that the position that i want, applied for, and discussed with my managers was internally available through the company (unknownst to me; I believe my managers should have informed me), and the position had been filled, by someone else. Now, I feel I have lost the opportunity for this position for at least a year, and i'm not willing to stay with the company that long, because the position I want pays twice as much as I am currently making. So, I am trying my options to aquire this position. I would really appreciate any response, for or against, and any suggestions.

I applied for a district management position for a Agriculture/Nursery company. They called me in for a interview, and they read my Resume beforehand. They knew I did not have a BA in Agri- business, and that I had only an AA in Agriculture and 2 CP's in Nursery Operations+Landscape matience.

Once I drive the 45 minutes to be interviewed I wait for over 30 minutes to be seen. The Lady takes to me her office, and the questions begin. She starts telling me i'm not qualified for the position because I do not have a BA in Agriculture or Business. Then pretty much suggests I could take a lower paying position that I was not interested in the least bit. She was quite rude, and I was really pissed off.

I tell her that I'm simply not interested, and furthermore I'm very upset that she even called me if she was not interested in considering me for that position.Let me make it clear that she knew my background before coming into her office. She called me personally and asked my background

I need some effective and cost-efficient employee sales incentives. My employees don't seem to be very motivated and since the business is new, I can't afford a lot. Thanks!

University people think that all students who enter and graduate will be great and ready for great jobs. But its not the case speciallly for shy, reserved super quiet people. I managed to graduate but i never did talk. i'm not good at speaking and i've never had social skills .

So now 4 years after graduation i'm just with a temporary 12 dollar an hour job, . . . i may be smart but that means crap in america. Maybe in other countries you can get by with just smart but here...if you're not outgoing and cheerful you're nothing to companies.

im a shy quiet guy and i will not change.
But as evidenced by my current job, i do more work than many of these talkatives who just slack off and dont do work. isn't worrk ethic, rather than outgoing personality, more important?

Then the jobs that dont require outgoing personatliy, pay so little. how can you live?

I am a boy and I am 13 years old in 8th grade. I really am trying to start buying stuff. The problem is, I am not allowed any help buying stuff. I pay for pretty much all my stuff. I really want a macbook laptop but do not have 1,000 dollars. I want a job that I am allowed to do for extra money. The thing is...is I live in an apartment and my town doesn't have paper boys. I want a job which I can make maybe 800 dollars in about half a year. I don't know any jobs I can though. If anyone has job ideas that would be great. also, if you say like babysitting or dog walking, tell me how to let people know about me. please be nice. thank you!

I am leaving my job at the end of December, thankfully, but I would like advice on how to deal with my boss until then. He is a nice enough guy, but very lonely, and tends to take any expression of politeness as a cue that the person denoting it wants to shag him. How do I continue being polite to him while making it clear that the only thoughts of shagging in my head are related to my boyfriend, and this after office hours.

I had an interview on thursday. The interviewer and I hit it off pretty well. The interviwer did not ask a lot of challenging questions, and when he did, I was able to answer them with great detail.

During the interview process, he told me about the benefits and introduced me to "the people that you will be working with". He used the term "what you will be doing is...". I was also asked what I hoped to accomplish in the first 30 days of my employment. I have a follow-up interview the owner of the company early next week. The interviewer encouraged me to email him any questions that I might have about the position.

I know that all that seems encouraging, but I would like a second opinion.

I'm looking to see which job would be easier to have a family with. RT would be an associates degree and Nursing would be a BSN as far as school goes. Is the salary about the same? Which is less stressful?
