Yes, it is. Much worse. And I don't see things getting better any time soon.

No it is absolutely great, will be getting better and most of all it is here to stay my friend. You did not loose your job because of economy but due to lack of your awareness.

You should wake up to the fact that today's economy is GLOBAL. Industrial revolution is long time over, it has moved to China and the largest English speaking country of the world -- India. We are living in new era that in USA alone will produce more than 1 million of new millionaires in the next 10 years.

Those who will wake up to this fact will become independently wealthy in the process. Those who will keep competing for jobs (Just Over Broke) will become willing victims. The choice is yours. Entry level jobs are already being taken over, the next stage are the jobs with college degree. Wake up Americans.

P.S.
The name of the game is Mind Set and learning about making money using leverage and Metcalf's Law. It's that simple but for most people beyond comprehension.

The name of the game, my friend, is "outsourcing." I haven't lost my job yet but the fact that I am speaking to a lot of very patronizing sounding people who speak in broken english, and who are employed in other departments of the company I work concerns me mildly.
I am sorry to hear about your job. I hope you find something better soon. Or return to school. The more education you have the more employable you become. It's mostly the entry level jobs that are being outsourced.
