I really want a macbook laptop but do not have 1,000 dollars. I want a job that I am allowed to do for extra money. The thing is...is I live in an apartment and my town doesn't have paper boys. I want a job which I can make maybe 800 dollars in about half a year. I don't know any jobs I can though. If anyone has job ideas that would be great. also, if you say like babysitting or dog walking, tell me how to let people know about me. please be nice. thank you!

As a 13 year old, jobs are limited. But, many small businesses will help you earn a few bucks. Not as a "job" but as a little "helper". I know when I was a bit younger I use to work at Sonic and serve the food/beverages to the customers. I was payed a good 7 dollars an hour + tips. Tips aren't usually the reliable source to depend on but they are the usually most cash you bring in. Also, since you have an Ice Cream shoppe next to you, there may be a job to scoop ice cream for customers. The restaurant may not be the #1 thing for you, but the gas station also sounds promising. Hope this helped!!! :-)

You could put flyers in people's letter boxes in your neighbourhood for dog walking. Type one up and print out as many copies as possible.

Perhaps you could also work in fast food - I think you might be old enough to work at McDonalds or somewhere similar.

You could also put out an advertisement to do lawn mowing for people (put an advertisement in your local newspaper of print out flyers and put them in letterboxes).

The other thing you could try is busking if you know how to play a musical instrument.

I think you might be best off working somewhere where you can get regular shifts of work such as a fast food place. Go into all the fast food places in your town and fill out an application form. They should be able to give you at least 15 hours of work a week and you would make more than $150 per week that way which is probably more than you would get doing odd jobs for people.

Depending on where in the country you live - I'm sure there are homeowners around your area. Some people who own homes would love a hand from someone your age to do mowing, yard work, or other tasks. Especially the elderly - who may not be physically capable to do heavy lifting, etc. If you live up North, it will snow soon - so shoveling sidewalks & driveways is another possibility.

Be cautious though, of offering to do indoor chores for people you do not know. Check with people you know, such as friends or neighbors - for word of mouth referrals.

Well my son how about going to your local super market to see if maybe they would need a bagger or depending on where you live how about mowing grass .pulling out weeds cleaning out gutters shoveling snow , putting out flyer's offering your services is the best way to start letting people know you are available to do odd jobs also tell a friend his or her mom might need some thing done there is SO many things out there that some one can do just make sure you always let your parents know where you Will be and never leave off with some one remember nothing is as important as life itself,GOOD LUCK TO YOU ITS GREAT TO HEAR FROM A YOUNG BOY TRYING TO MAKE A HONEST PROFIT

Well, I don't know how big of a town you live in, but baby sitting and dog walking are a great start.
You could also be an assistant of sorts. Like help people in your apartment with simple errands, like going to the post office to mail a letter or get stamps all the way to assisting a disabled person with grocerying shopping.

I would talk to your parents about making some flyers to put up. Have them go with you and talk to your building super to see if there is anything you can do for them, and have them go around your building with you and talk to other tennets while you make a proposal to them.

Good luck!

Since it is Fall, I hope that you are in either south Florida or in Texas...somewhere that you can mow lawns. You will make a good little fortune doing that. If it IS Fall....then raking or blowing and bagging of leaves makes good money and isn't hard work for you.
Do you like kids? Can you babysit??? My brother and I made good money back in the 60s and 70s sitting and that is how HE got into doing it....I had too big a business and had to ask him to help me out. As long as you don't believe in hitting kids and have your parents for backup you can make a decent living babysitting and can easily rack up the needed $800....and more.

good luck!
