i have the thing it was connected to! the "earnings statement" i n ever cashed the check oviously! but its lost and there is no way to find it! how do i get my money.

can i like call the adp(automatic data procesing inc to send me a check? i rEALLY dont want to have to call my work cause i quit a while ago :(!....

I work as an IT specialist/software developer in Nigeria for an American Company; my company offers training service for a major oil company here in Nigeria, I am Egyptian, and I think my Company meant to hire Egyptians to pay less, my salary is 2100$ per month, I speak Arabic, English and French, and have a Bachelors Degree in business administration, and also am a CIW E-commerce professional with 5 years experience
Should I ask for a raise or this is a reasonable salary?

I live in the UK. I start work at 9.00am, but I have to be at work by 8.30am as this is stated in my contract. Why do most jobs start at 9.00am? I wish that they would start at 9.30am or even 10am.
I wake up at 6.30am, leave the house at 7.30am and arrive at work at around 8.30am. I find all of this exhausting. Do people out there agree with me? Why can't there be a later start to the working day? Is it the same in other countries?

In my office the day is supposed to end at 4pm. But nobody wants to be the first to leave., as it that will mark you as a poor worker. We are not getting paid past four so why stay. However: We all stay in our chairs waiting for the other to make the first premptive move (shut the computer, put away files, etc.).

How do you handle it?

I d like to move on to better job and postion but since alot of company ask people to come in person and apply for job.

I love to work & I love earning money, but I've had 8 full-time jobs in 7 years (not including temp assignments). Part of the problem is that I get bored after I have learned what's involved & I hate repetition. The other problem is that I work best when I'm busy, quiet & at ease and I find that working with & for others stresses me out to the point where I have been physically ill, so I remove myself which makes it worse so then I quit. Talks w/HR don't help. I can't stand pettiness and gossip nor people who have nothing better to do than to try & sabotage someone's career. Most of my gigs have been in advertising production for publishing, broadcasting & internet. I've also worked in hospitals or clinics & law firms-apparently I hate working in an office. Now I am in grad school to become a teacher but it's not the right fit. CAREER COUNSELING DID NOT HELP. What are the best careers for people who are creative & sensitive but don't like working with people? Serious replies only.

i just found,when i amn't in shop, they just keep talking and do nothing.
and more, i found they just lied on their working time. eg they left on 3 o'clock, but they said they work till 5.45...
they both are elder than me. Though i am the boss, i really don't want to hurt them.
what i should do, fire them? sometimes they are very good actually. or keep them? i am very angry about the lies about time, what's the different with steal from me?

I'm 16 going on 17 and I applied to a clothing store that hires at 16. How long should I wait to call and find out if anyone has looked at my application and/or made a decision about hiring.I dont want to be annoying but I do want them to know I'm intrested.Also, how many times should i call,and who should I speak to if the manager or the person in charge of hiring is not there?
