i have an interview and currently make 30k at a bank as a cashier how much more should i ask for its the same position but a different company i will have 2.5 yrs of experience in this position. i tried a salary calculator but didnt help me much thank you :

Add up the value of any 'perks' you may receive at your current position, and you can add that to your salary request. did you get free parking or transportation discounts? Tuition reimbursement? Did you accumulate extra time for vacations? Even if you can't get a better salary offer, they might be able to sweeten the pot with more benefits or matching perks.

Try to find out what they are currently paying their employees and ask for about $2k more than that. You can always negotiate, but always end up with at least what you're making at your current job. If you don't, then it's not worth it.

I'd start at 37.5 at least...you can always negotiate down, but it does'nt work the other way.
