I have to introduce a disciplinary procedure to my organisation, could some one help me find out what potential pitfalls I face in bringing this into the organisation?

Thanks, I have to give a presentation to management on this tomorrow and I cant think of any thing!

Not sure what type of situation the disciplinary action is for but several things I can think of off-hand that could cause problems:

1) the procedure violates state/local law
2) the procedure is inconsistently applied, or applied only to certain groups
3) The procedure is overly difficult or time-consuming, and managers unwilling to implement it

most people resent changes and will not like it, but in time, when the disciplinary is used, they see that its works, not only for the company, but for them to.
