is I fell and hurt my back I went back to work for 20 hours and the other half on workers comp- the workers comp people asked me if I wanted to get a settlement for some reason. I don't know why that is. Is it because if I go back working full time my employer is going to fire me?

About four months ago i suggested a great business idea to a friend of mine. We were getting very close at the time and i mistooke his interest in me for his character. Meaning he acted and pretended to be the best guy ever in order to get my attention and i thought that was really his character. Now i have seen his true character and even though we continue to be friends i know for sure that i could never do serious business with him. He has only contributed maybe an hour or two of research to the business idea and has no skill to contribute to the idea since the skills needed require schooling and training. I have been feeling held up by him because i am waiting for him to loose interest but he doesnt seem to.

How do i break the deal with him or do i just start the business without saying anything to him and mind you we live 20 mins from each other and are in the same circle of friends?

proceeded to tell you "this person wants you fired" and goes on to tell you OFFICE GOSSIP that people had said behind your back. They also gave details of how certain people who do not supervise you have taken action to have you fired.

Is a situation like this hopeless? I do the majority of the work for my boss. The last thing my boss wants is for me to go because then who'd do all of the work? I have my limits. Help.

I've left employment situations before and I don't want to feel pushed out. I don't want to run away from the situation. I really work for a sick individual who has absolutely no idea how to do their job. They view me as someone they can easily manipulate. What should I do about the negative comments they tell me "other people" have said? Do I tell this person I'd prefer not to hear those things?

What are some "hot jobs" right now in Las Vegas? I'm looking into hotels, cansinos, or whatever (nothing shady). I'm educated, outgoing, ambitious, and in my early 30's. Any suggestions???

I'm wondering if everyone sees other peoples' spouses more than their own on a daily basis. Ahhh, the American dream, and I still can't afford a damn condo!

Hey everybody out there in yahoo land i'm sure you all know that song "Wild World" by Cat Stevens. Any way I'm 16 and this will be my first summer with a license and I sorta want to do something that makes the world go round. My parents aren't very supportive about sending money through the computer but I enjoy watching CSNBC and would love to learn the stocks, bonds, and all that good money stuff. I don't really have any talents perse but I am interested in a lot of things and wouldn't mind trying anything in the fields of marketing, money, management, cartooning, music yah know..something with a purpose. Any 16 year old can work a register or push carts but their is no point to it. I don't want to start a job then feel like I have a "safe place" so I don't advance myself at all. I also would like a girlfriend so I don't grow up living on a farm with cats yah know, not a girl just to put <3 in your aim but someone who really would spend the rest of their life with you. I know that now the PharmD degree is the norm in USA and Canada.

Would I have to sit many exams, or undergo much assessment if I ever decided to move?

In a few days I have orientation for a possible new job with teenage kids. At the orientation they will show me around their facility, train me a little and show me what the job would involve. It's not a sit down interview and I don't have the job yet. So I want to dress professionally, but I don't want to overdress. I'm attempting to switch fields from professional business to working with children. Normally I would I would wear a dress suit with heels, but I sort of feel that's a little too dressy. I don't know what to wear? Do you have any suggestions. Are khaki's, a button down shirt, brown suede shoes that tie not dressy enough? How about a pair of black slacks, button down shirt and black shoes with no heels. Do I bring anything with me a resume? a small of pad of paper to take notes?
