What are some "hot jobs" right now in Las Vegas? I'm looking into hotels, cansinos, or whatever (nothing shady). I'm educated, outgoing, ambitious, and in my early 30's. Any suggestions???

Casino jobs continue to be hot in Vegas. I have a friend who, at 50, chucked everything, sold his salvage business in Chicago, and moved to Vegas. He went to dealer school and got a job right away. Within two years he was working at Bellagio as a dealer. He makes about $70,000 (salary and tips), and he loves his life. I know others who started as dealers and went on to become casino hosts, and they also seem to love their lives. If you like people and can stand on your feet for hours at a time and you can deal with cigarette smoke, I'd go to dealer school. Your first job will be at some stupid horrible casino, but if you make a point of being good and personable and reliable and trustworthy, and if you make an effort to get to know the pit bosses, floor managers, human resources, etc., of better casinos, you can get snatched up by a really good place fast.

Hi! Tunda Ro, can you dance? Don't knock it! Man, woman(whatever) your good to go...till 40++ depending how well you look & move! The Hottest job w/ very good $ to be made. While your day's are free to look for that white collar job you seek/ or to just play! Plenty of opportunities w/ out going the sleezy and seedy route. Long as you have the face, keep your body tan & buff and most importantly keep your nose clean. I had to step out due to a change in life style..thus I'm back in shape, ready to chuck my white collar life to go back! Nothing quite like it!

If dancing ain't your gig, and you know something about law, casino's are always eager for staff protection. Your a shoe in for a managing job, if you actually no something about Vegas law. ** Also health care, all though (underpaid), it's needed w/ in the new hosp.'s.these days. Thus, I made more $ then my doc. friend dancing.

Lastly, If you enjoy the games and want to deal, that's a good gig. All though it's different then are parents generation, they want you to attend school now. HA!! Ivy league for poker players, I got to laugh @ that one. Thus, if your good w/ numbers there's your in. Good luck...deal.. dance..play..ahhhh a little piece of heaven baby! *And if your lucky enough to have an understanding partner in life, that enjoys too, then it's all good!
